NFL: Brock Purdy is Getting Paid

I'm confused. I read the contract is 5 years and runs through the 2030 season. Does this mean he still has to finish out his current deal? He still has to wait a year to receive some cash? I figured the current contract would be voided and the new would start immediately?

Mr irrelevant and overrated making 105 mil a year. The 2 can afford to nil us a QB and PG every year I'd hope

It's an extension. Looks like he'll make $5M this year. Same thing happened with Haliburton

$985K -> $5.34M -> $50+M is his last year to next year pay. I'm guessing next year will be a big chunk of the total guaranteed with how NFL contracts are typically structured.

That’ll buy a lot of farm equipment for his in laws

And knowing purdy, he will still come to games using clothes from Kohls
Isn't he a spokesperson for Deere, he'll just call the office at Deere and have it delivered :jimlad:

Signing bonus will be a big party of it

How much does Cade McNamara make? Oh, (checks notes) he’s playing for eastern Tennessee this fall.

Between Brock and Tyrese, they bring in almost 510 million in contract money. Not even accounting for their sponsors.
That number boggles my mind.
Congrats to both of them though they put in the work, seem to be great people, and that is where the market is for their skill set currently.
