I would love to know how he picked that movie for central Iowa, and why he's coming to Iowa at all, but it's pretty cool. I think Grosse Pointe Blank is my favorite John Cusack film, but High Fidelity is up there.

Better Off Dead is my Cusack favorite.

I do know somebody that knows his sister quite well. She's supposed to be a really great person. This person has met John a couple of times and thinks he comes off as a pretentious greaseball.

This being said, except for 2012, I've liked his characters in the movies I've seen.

Pretty cool deal. Here's how I'd rank my favorite Cusack films:

1. Say Anything
2. Better Off Dead
3. The Grifters
4. Eight Men Out

Eight Men Out
Being John Malkovich
Better Off Dead
Say Anything
Gross Pointe Blank

I can't include his fairly insignificant roles in Sixteen Candles and The Thin Red Line.

I have heard that, too

So, what is this? Does he get up and talk about the film before they show it? Does he do a meet and greet? Will he sit by you and share popcorn during the film if you win a drawing?

I need to watch something like Eight Men Out as an adult. I only saw it as a kid and it's certainly not the popcorn type that Field of Dreams is but is probably a really good actual film.

Went on the Live Nation site to see how much tickets are going for this out of curiousity. There are no prices listed which I will take as a bad sign. Mrs. Velo is a big Cusak fan so it would be a nice surprise for her, but I'm not into taking out a second mortgage for this.

If anyone gets into the presale kindly let me know what you find for a range.

All I know is what's in the link.

Just found the Minneapolis event and the range is $91-277 for that one. Note that in Minnesota they are required to list all-in pricing so that is including all fees.

There are some other options in the MInneapolis show. I don't know if these are all venue options or if they entail some sort of additional artist access.

EDIT: just did some reading on those and they appear to be venue offerings. They don't list any additional artist access.
