This is a terrible take. You cherry picked one of his worst games of the year.

He had 21, 17, 16, 22, 21, and 21 against Miami, FAU, Vanderbilt, K-State, Missouri, and Texas Tech. I'm sure all those teams have plenty of athletes that can guard him.

Is Bennett Stirtz the best returning PG in the nation. I watched him playing against UNI and I wasn’t terribly impressed. He is good but is he really the best PG in the nation next year?

The......best......PG in the nation doesn't stink it up at home against Murray State and a 6'7" forward. Now, does that make him a bad PG....absolutely not. Just not the best.

I would describe being the best player in the country as a 17 year old pretty exceptional. If you go by player efficiency stats in the last 20 years the only 2 high major freshmen that were as valuable are Zion Williamson and Anthony Davis. Kyrie was there but low sample size. Elite (for all of college ball) usage, shooting efficiency, rebounding, AST %, Steals, foul magnet, free throw shooter…idk man. Just an eye test thing?

Have zero clue if this is true but heard it from a Hawk fan but Dix was offered north of 2 million at Indiana and Creighton got him for around 2. Again, doubt will ever know the true number but that’s a heck of a lot of dough.
