Insomnia has me reading about Breya Cunningham here, then going to the On3 transfer portal website in search of possibly undervalued Power Forwards ISU could pursue.

Atlantic 10 Player of the Year - all-around player at St. Joseph's (scoring & assists), but it's the double digit rebounding which could help keep Audi and Addy fresh.

She's from Denmark, so she'd help freshman Freya Jensen acclimate.

There's already a professor at ISU named Laura Ziegler, which is kind of fun.

Let's send Bill out with the conference titles and deep NCAA runs which have eluded him - here's a lineup which can go toe to toe with Baylor in conference and trade punches with Vic & his Longhorns in the tournament:
PG - Jada Williams
SG - Kenzie Hare (Arianna Jackson or Kelsey Joens)
SF - Addy Brown (Sydney Harris)
PF - Laura Ziegler
C - Audi Crooks (Alisa Williams)

I see a tight 8 Player Rotation with positional versatility - AJ plays 20 minutes / game at 1 or 2. Syd & Kelsey each play 10 minutes per game at 2 or 3 (as Addy slides to the 4).

Interesting find for sure. The only thing I’d add is not overlooking Beatty or this year's freshmen being in the mix. I’m honestly as excited to see how they contribute next year as I am Williams coming in.

This would force Addy or Sydney to defend an opponent's three. Quickness could be a problem. Would probably force more zone which Audi does in some cases anyway.

Queue Jim Mora Voice, "Quickness - don't talk about quickness!"

Quickness is already a problem, as in we don't have much and you can't teach it. Our new freshman PG recruit (Reece Beatty) is a shotput and discuss champion, so she's not a speed merchant. Therefore, I suggest we go the "brawn" route and push people around. Just a thought about supplementing the squad we already have.

Winning the shot and discuss and being quick are not mutually exclusive. Watch her highlights…she does quite well for herself.

I will say that it is nice to have a drama free offseason thus far when it comes to the portal. Two years ago everyone was freaking out when Donarski, Fritz, and multiple bench players all left in the portal. Last year it was Bristow and maybe to some extent Diew and Natabou for some too. This year all we have is Hansford. This sophomore class has hit the ground running since day 1 and given us a nice base to build around since the time some thought the sky was falling and the program was doomed. Other than Donarski has anyone we've lost during the portal era really been a huge loss and excelled at their next stop? Most either had to go to a smaller school to find playing time or played less than they did at ISU if they transferred to another power conference school.

I get the defensive concern, you touched on it in final sentence with playing a lot of zone. IMO putting Addy on the baseline, helps her as well.

Our 2nd most glaring weakness was offensive rebounding. Other than rebounding her own missed shots, don't feel that will ever be an Audi strength. So a solid rebounding 3/4 is probably just as big a need as PG was.
