"Colossal fumble" was the statement. It's a stupid take. TJ recruited a player and didn’t get him. I'm guessing he's not curled up in a fetal ball and, instead, has moved on.
There was a colossal fumble by one of our football players this year. He ended up really improving the remainder of the year. Clearly the Cyclone way.

Not sure why we are recruiting guards. We have Heise, Williams, Bateman, and Toure. Maybe we pick up someone who can play some point? 2 guard is stacked.
Probably because we will play as many as 3 at a time, or run into weird injury stuff like we did 2 out of the last 3 years and find out it would be nice to have a little more guard depth in order to not lose ugly in the tournament.

Exactly, I dont know why people are obsessed with all these Virginia players when they were terrible this year in the weakest ACC in modern times. If all these guys were so good you would think Virginia would have at least been a bubble team.
Because they emphasize defense at UVA, same as at ISU, the most difficult part of the game to get players to buy into 100%? For reference, check Houston's team.

They were 131st this year in total ADJDE playing against terrible teams.

They can emphasize it all they want but it doesn't mean they played it well. This isn't 2019 Virginia or the era Shayok came from.

Exactly. Plus they play a pack line D that is different than ours.

It’s going to be tough to judge anything from last year’s Virginia because the interim coach was announced so late (October 18). For continuity Sanchez was playing a system that wasn’t really his, with guys he didn’t recruit, and an announcement on the same day that there would be a separate permanent head coaching search. It was not a normal year

Good chance that Harrington will end up being the best in-state recruit since Harrison Barnes.
Does Omaha Biliew count? Too soon?

Maybe you meant “best” as in actual production on the court? If you meant “best” as in “highest ranked recruit”, Omaha was UP there.

It’s a good thing 6’7 170 LaMelo Ball didn’t play in college. Not built for the grind of a 35 game college season against other teenagers

Somewhere along the line fans started acting like being skinny is bad and you have to be built like a cornerback. I mean Tyrese Haliburton was a skinny skinny dude in college. Diante Garrett was super skinny. Both NBA players. Being skinny does not mean they are not strong. Just means they don't have the ability like some of us to show muscle and build a frame. I have worked out with super skinny dudes who were strong as hell. Look at guys in the UFC like Max Holloway. Dude is a pencil but will snatch you up and mangle you.
