A starting lineup of Toure, Batemon, Momcilovic, an unnamed 4, and Buchanan will be absolutely scary in 26-27
I guess that depends upon who the unnamed 4. Mitchell is pretty highly regarded but also looks like a bit of a tweener. I guess that's better than a tweaker. Pleta looks like he has some upside too.

Very true. In my mind, Mitchell might be the one that doesn't get a ton of run this season out of the freshman class, not due to his ability, but more due to whose ahead of him. I think Pleta will eventually be great also, but he may be somewhat developmental
The other way to frame his post Marquette career is that he has take over two rebuilding jobs. VT for sure and aTm is debatable, but Billy Kennedy didn't leave that program in a great place. So if you remove the first year at each stop for rebuilding/transition and take out the year the tournament was cancelled, that leave 8 seasons (four at each school). Each started with an NIT appearance then 3 straight NCAA appearance with all seasons being 20+ wins. In the 6 NCAA appearances he has won 4 games.
Having said that, by all accounts he is a kind of a weird guy and administrations seem to get tired of dealing with him after awhile. I remember a report while he was at Marquette where they said nobody knew where he was on any given day except one admin person who handled booking things for him. He was out on the road recruiting constantly, even during the season, and would meet his team at games.
The knee injury might take some value off his transfer. I doubt it though if he is going to be ready in September.
Very unlikely we could get Quaintance. he will he a very popular player but the surgery will change things. It would be amazing if we got him.
Some posters on here said during the season he would be in the portal and that we had a shot at him. I didn’t really believe that, but he is in the portal. Does anyone know our connection with him if there is one?
