I don't mind portal watching and waiting...but I'd rather be watching us play in the Sweet 16 and/or Elite 8 this weekend. I've kind have been in a funk since the Ole Miss loss....not depressed. Just a sense of disappointment on another season of what could have been.

I like the additions so far, and I apologize for being Captain Obvious, but I am concerned about our scoring for next year. Hoping Milan makes a huge jump, but not really feeling like anyone thus far is gonna be averaging 16 or 17 points a game on the roster. Really hoping we get a home run, scoring guard.

We don't have the free agency budget to go big game hunting... It has to be a team effort

There is roughly 42 PPG to replace (17 CuJo, 13 Gilbert, 12 from the centers combined) to replace next year.

Tamin +4
Milan +4
Jefferson +4
Heise +5

Your key returning players HAVE to step up in this scenario..

Mulder +5
Williams +6

That right there is 28 PPG. If you land Rohde, that is 7-10 PPG there. Land Cluff and thats another 8-10 PPG. Everyone getting better is how we replace two super senior guards.

--------------

My biggest concern for 2025/26 is who steps into the killer role, who gets the ball when the other team goes on an 8-0 run and you need to stop the bleeding??

Donovan Dent went to UCLA

I'm surprised about that - Mick must be spending with the big boys.

Kam Williams, a 6'8" freshman from Tulane, did commit to Kentucky

I think those are the two biggest names off the board so far

I think it’s Jefferson. If he can handle the ball better, he will take his game to an elite level.

I know the staff is focused on Cluff but if that doesn’t work out…

Big loss for KU.

Weird that he explicitly says returning to KU is a strong option. Testing the market? Playing hardball with KU? At some point that might backfire for someone.
