And I meant big time dollar amounts

That’s the one thing that will change all of this. If a bunch of small schools with rich guys start buying all the players and the ratings drop because Furman is playing San Francisco for the natty. They will figure out how to change the rules

That couldn’t be further from the truth lol
I'm not sure it's right, but I'm also not sure it's totally wrong either. We already weren't this past year. We were significantly more athletic with King and Ward than we were this past season. Our current portal targets are below the rim guys. All of them probably can dunk, but that's not the point. Recruiting film on Xzavion Mitchell indicate he's a below the rim guy too, despite being 6'6". Batemon is billed as a shooter. Toure might be a plus athlete but he's only 6'3". I'd like it if we can find a combo guard or wing or even backup big in the portal with some leaping ability. In addition to Cluff.

Wasn't super impressed against ISU. But he is a cheesehead.
He had some nice tools but didn't seem like he can create for himself at all. Probably a bit redundant with Momcilovic, Heise, Pleta, now Mulder etc

At the 5 position I'll agree that last year we were more athletic. But King vs Jefferson, it depends on what your idea of athlete is. I train college and pro athletes for a living and I would say pound for pound Jefferson is far superior than Tre King was. I imagine you are just thinking vertical leap. If so, ok but Tre King was not a great mover laterally and had nowhere near the footwork, ball handling and ability to defend multiple players on the other team.
Now as for other players, Heise is a far better athlete than Paveletzke. Overall I'd probably say it's a wash. Both team probably rank as mediocre

A bunch of guys we've played in recent tourneys are in the portal - in addition to the Wisconsin kid from Lipscomb:

The Diaz twins from Pittsburgh are portalling - if we wanted a package deal!

Also from the Pitt team - John Hugley IV is back in the portal, looking to play a 6th season - 3 at Pitt, one at OU, most recently at Xavier, where he barely played and averaged < 3 ppg. Back in his Soph year at Pitt he averaged almost 15ppg.

Myles Rice of WSU went to Indiana last year and is back in the portal again. He averaged 10/3/3 for IU, but I think he has loads of talent
