Can we just get our own annoying white guy, please? It sucks having that guy on the other team all the time.

Discounts are never published. But everybody knows you shouldn't pay retail.Where is this price list on players you're referring to? I would like to look that over. Is there a discount page too?
I agree he'd be a good player - just don't think we need to add that mold of player to next year's roster.
If we need to replace scoring in a hurry, we need to look at it as find a better option for Gilbert, not Nojus. I don't think Rohde would come here to be the 7th or 8th guy. Like I said, him and Heise just seem too similar to make sense on next year's squad. Any other year, grab him.
Or maybe Heise fills the CuJo role as a high minutes 6th man.Yeah, he went from looking like a nice role player to a solid starting guard candidate for next year.
This kid is a maniac smashing on everyone. Only has played 1 year at a mid major. Could be a willing off the bench guy in a step up in competition
Good stats as a freshman

What do you consider elite? Currently 9th on Torvik and 10th on KenPom. Ole Miss was the worst defensive performance of the season.Or maybe Heise fills the CuJo role as a high minutes 6th man.
Feel like the staff needs to figure out how seriously we are about being an elite defensive program in the Houston mold or are we OK with being just average like this year. IMO that dictates how we proceed in the portal and maybe more importantly how we spend on returning players.
The tough thing about having an elite defense, maybe 1 weak link can be compensated for. But tough to have a split roster of plus defenders and minus defenders.
Seems like he does way more ball handling and has great assist #s. Heise is more of a spot up shooter and slasher vs Rohde is a spot up shooter and distributor. Idk can never have enough good 3 point shooters.I agree he'd be a good player - just don't think we need to add that mold of player to next year's roster.

Heise is not a starter regardless if next year's team is going to take a step forward. Need a SG/Wing that's a major scoring threat. Without that addition, I'm not sure the ceiling improves much from this season. So, in this scenario I'm seeing Rohde as the 6th man. Heise as the 7th,8th? Again, they seem very similar.IMO. If Rohde is an addition, he would start and Heise moves to 6 man. Which would be great

Another Grill?Absolute head case. You don't want anything to do with him.
Those first few seasons, we would run the clock down to 15 seconds or so before we really tried much offense. I think that may be what is gassing us out some now. We are still trying to play tight D but not getting that little rest for 10 seconds on offense. We shortened up games the first couple years. The eye test is a great place to start. Those metrics leave a lot to be desired if they had us 9th or 10th. My guess those metrics were based on the whole season. What would they have ranked ISU over the last 2 months?
Ole Miss was our worst performance of the season. But go back and look at most of our other losses and the defense wasn't elite. And in fact, not average in those losses. A lot of the elite defense mantra for this season was based on TJ's first 3 seasons.
The first half of the season our trapping defense's success in forcing turnovers and creating points hid a lot. But the reality is we struggled in staying in front of opposing players driving.

I feel like Alison Lacey as 1st lady of the basketball team we would have good rapport with Australians looking to move to the states. I'm sure TJ knows enough now about the region to do good recruiting there.Oscar Cluff is meeting with coaches in Ames today
That definitely seemed true with Gilbert out. Almost like they werent sure what they should do without him there.I felt we were pretty slow paced this year in the latter part of the season. Tamin was pretty deliberate getting the ball past mid-court. The norm seemed around 21/22 seconds left on the shot clock.
