It's hard to put that on a sophomore. Even a guy as talented as Milan halfway into the season. This teams run was going to be based on how good our veteran guards played. I mean that's any team in the NCAA tourney. With the injuries we've had we didn't really have a chance. Milan is only so good if Gilbert isn't helping putting pressure on the opponents D.

Injuries changed everything and yes I know injuries happen.

This game is highlighting how horrible of depth ISU currently has. I hope Blum is correct that it will be an active portal season as it’s time to cut some guys loose that will never contribute.

It doesn’t matter. TJ is going to play 8 guys max and then make sure to keep them playing in blowouts and beat them to death in practice because “That’s what we do.”

You do lose all five of those games for reasons that aren’t luck related. That’s the entire point. Losing tonight and scoring 41 points against Pitt wasn’t luck either.

Well, first of all we are dealing with 3 different coaches for those 5 Sweet 16's. So I don't think you can draw a lot of conclusions either way.

We earned a 3 seed this year, but if we are being honest we've been playing like a 6 seed for the last 2 months. So we shouldn't be completely surprised we are getting our asses kicked. A lot of that has to do with injuries. Some of that has to do with team dynamics.
