I wouldn't call it smoke. He basically said it yesterday.
He mentioned a specific instance where he wanted the team to stay overnight in NYC for Christmas and was denied. Seems similar to Hoiberg complaints.
Yeah thats ridiculous, but hear me out, why wouldn't a multi-million coach foot the bill if he wanted it that bad.
Yea, UT will go big game hunting. Name a top 10 coach and they will offer him $10M a year. If Ar-kansas can do it, should be a lay-up for the Longhorns. SEC eats its own, Bruce Pearl might be a good place to start. Or Golden or Oats.
He's definitely a winner.
It will be interesting if he's interested in another shot at an elite program or he's like McDermott and likes being at a Big East school with resources. This is his 2nd stint as Xavier and might feel it's a good fit.
He's also in a good spot to be selective. Aka would a Ohio State or Penn State be a better fit for him personally (grew up in Pittsburgh).
And their AD is going to take the SMU job. You don’t see ADs moving down very often…
Arkansas has deeper pockets than 95% of college athletic departments. They have more money to spend on BB than even Kentucky with NIL now. They have at least 4 billionaire donors(3 Walton heirs and Jerry Jones. There are how many in the Big 12 total? I can't think of one.
Ryan Smith and David Booth, I'm sure there are others.

I've got a piece of flat ground and 2 2person tents that I can let you use for a bit. I guess if you've got more than 4 people some can sleep in your vehicle.
He'd have the same problem there as Kansas, getting stuck with the players the boosters want. Not building the team he wants.
