When I see the contracts for NFL QB’s, MLB players, the recent sale of the Celtics, amount of money spent in NIL it gives me pause. It is obvious that there is a lot of disposable income in the USA available for entertainment by the public. Not just sports, ex. Taylor Swift tour. But the price of eggs is going to end this. LOL.

Let’s not conflate handing out 9 figure contracts from pro team owners with some normie scraping up a thousand bucks to go see Taylor Swift one time before she gets old.

Testifying
Some smoke out there with Kevin Willard not being happy at Maryland because they're cheap.

He mentioned a specific instance where he wanted the team to stay overnight in NYC for Christmas and was denied. Seems similar to Hoiberg complaints.

IMHO no way Chris Del Conte hires Ben McCollum at UT. No one goes from NW MO state to Drake for one year then UT. Doesn’t happen.

Yea, UT will go big game hunting. Name a top 10 coach and they will offer him $10M a year. If Ar-kansas can do it, should be a lay-up for the Longhorns. SEC eats its own, Bruce Pearl might be a good place to start. Or Golden or Oats.

He's definitely a winner.

It will be interesting if he's interested in another shot at an elite program or he's like McDermott and likes being at a Big East school with resources. This is his 2nd stint as Xavier and might feel it's a good fit.

He's also in a good spot to be selective. Aka would a Ohio State or Penn State be a better fit for him personally (grew up in Pittsburgh).

Arkansas has deeper pockets than 95% of college athletic departments. They have more money to spend on BB than even Kentucky with NIL now. They have at least 4 billionaire donors(3 Walton heirs and Jerry Jones. There are how many in the Big 12 total? I can't think of one.

Ryan Smith and David Booth, I'm sure there are others.

With minimal research:

Ryan Smith - BYU (Utah Jazz Owner)
David Booth- KU
Tillman Fertitta - Houston
Cody Campbell - Texas Tech
Boone Pickens Estate - Okie State
Koch Brothers/Family - Kansas State (unsure how much goes to athletics)
John Justin - TCU (Justin Industries/Justin Boots acquired by Berkshire Hathaway)

1. Ken Kendrick, owner of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He just donated undisclosed money destined to turn WVU's baseball facilities into the nation's best. WVU's baseball team has also risen from the ashes in the NIL era, with an 18-1 start this year with a 1-game sweep over Oklahoma State in Stillwater.

2. Kendrick is also the money behind RROD's boast that he will win not only a Big 12 title but a national title.

Hey guys. The bank called this morning and they want to foreclose on my house. I’m starting a go fund me if anyone feels like tossing in to save my family.
I've got a piece of flat ground and 2 2person tents that I can let you use for a bit. I guess if you've got more than 4 people some can sleep in your vehicle.
