As a lifelong NBA fan who defends the playoffs as the best basketball in the world by lightyears...comparing this competition to the NBA All Star game (even from 80s and 90s) is about the most laughable comparison ever. I mean it's kind of laugh out loud funny to think about it with how this is ending with such a competitive game.
Let’s be realistic here, it’s nation on nation. If the NBA did this it would get a ton of hype. The Olympics were awesome basketball.
Lol. LeBron and two other guys would probably sit out the championship for load management reasons. There’s no comparison.
He literally played and won MVP in the Olympics. He’s also 40 years old. This LeBron hate is so forced it’s ridiculous. This is awesome and I love it. A regular NHL all star game would be on espn+.

Assuming the NBA guys would show up. PK is right Hockey players will drag their ass on the ice if at all possible after injury. Guys lose teeth during a game and don't miss but a couple of shifts

Same reply as before. You are wearing your country on your jersey. They would and have shown up for their country. Did you not watch the Olympics. Our three best players were in their mid to late 30s….
Agree, it’s just a sharp contrast because of what a train wreck it was with the commercials etc. I’m such a basketball fan I simply never have time for hockey even though I love it and played a little. I might be slightly more likely to watch playoffs because of watching this. I mean is it even possible to be a mbb, wbb, nba and nhl fan?
Thank you for a reasonable response. Of course the NBA all star game sucked. The pro bowl sucks, and the regular NHL all star game sucks. This isn’t even remotely the same thing.
