The coverage is also on USA Today now. Not a great look especially with multiple women sharing similar stories.
I originally saw it on the Washington Post website, but linked to Yahoo since WaPo has a paywall. Definitely getting some national attention.
I didn't read the recent article closely and there might be some new accusers, but the Sedona Prince allegations were widely discussed on this board previously - I believe it was last season. Not that there's any harm in reintroducing the topic! The author of the Yahoo article you posted is a City High and ISU alum - he wrote for the Daily less than a decade ago.
TCU has been aware of this for quite some time. So far their answer has basically been "Let them eat cake".

From watching several of the coaches in the conference interact with TCU's coach at the end of games, it's rather obvious he is not well-liked. In every game I've watched/attended, the post-game coaches' handshake has been a blow-by. When Baylor played TCU, Nikki Collen barely looked at him when she shook hands, and CBF, who usually has a quick chat (except for Krista Gerlich), said nothing.
Preface: My wife & I do an early Spring bicycle vacation every year, heading someplace warm in February or March to get in some early season miles. We've gone to Ft. Worth three of the past six years and people are awesome there - TCU has surpassed OSU as my second favorite Big XII school.
Having said that, I'm a huge fan of Mark Campbell. He came to prominence as a recruiter at Oregon, then showed he could coach by taking Isnelle Natabou and Sacramento State to a conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance in his second year. TCU snapped him up as likely the hottest young coach in the ranks, and he promptly improved them by 13 games in year #1 (plus he earned WartburgCy's everlasting hatred by virtue of forfeiting to ISU). It's probably a pipe dream, but if CBF should retire following year 30, ISU should do everything possible to add Mark Campbell to Matt Campbell! If other coaches are giving him the "cold shoulder", it's probably because they're jealous. To put a new twist on an old saying, "if you're not finding every possible advantage in a competitive situation, you're not giving it your best effort."
So what are your feelings on TCU seeming to not care about the Character of one of the Star Players? Obviously Mark Campbell is ok with it.
And this is a serious question, do people care about the allegations against Prince? Are folks more concerned about winning or Character of the program.
Right there with you. Don’t even want to consider someone who doesn’t value character. If one coach passes him up…so what. When everyone does there’s a reason. There are lots of fish in the sea to consider when Coach Fen decides to retire in a couple of years.
I agree - and TCU has already answered this. They don't care. A lot of serious accusations were levied (this summer?) sometime, and now they're back. I can just about guarantee that it's unlikely she sticks in the WNBA for even one year, even if she gets drafted and they give her a bone to try. She'll get cut. There's plenty of pro-level talent out there and not enough spots. She's not going to get one with the problems swirling around her. I would never want someone like Prince around a program I cheered for, and I would be heavily suspicious of any public-facing coach or official who seem to not value the seriousness of the allegations presented.
Maybe she is just not a very good person, if she would switch teams we could hook her up with cyclone4L. And hope for the best.
I've been a Cyclone wbb fan longer than most. All I want is a respectable team that makes the tourney most yrs it would be great to get some elite 8 or a final four, but in the new NIL world I don't expect it, if someone wants to fund wbb more power to them but the real money needs to be spent on FB and mbb.
I'd rather have a team with high character players that the kids in Lil Clone Club can look up to than wondering if your star center is going to prison for multiple assaults.
