Milan Rumors - Hand Injury

I'm not so sure about that. Milan is a guy that other teams absolutely cannot leave alone on the perimeter, period. That opens up the lane for our other guys.

Don't get me wrong, I think our guys will find a way through it, but it definitely shrinks our margin for error is some of these big games. I really like what I've seen out of Nojus though, so I think he can help bridge the gap.

But you still have to respect Heise from 3 at just over 30%. It makes it very important for him to hit one or 2 a game going forward, and especially knocking down the wide open ones.

I’m sure TJ has worked together a plan that will be good. He made it to the sweet 16 with a team with basically no offense for goodness sake.

You respect Heise, but I doubt they say do not help off of him. Milan is a certified bucket from out there, so no disrespect to Heise. I agree it's not the end of the world. Just that it could have more of an impact on our offense than some people think.

Maybe this is like the TCU game last year. Where a player sits due to injury (in that case Lipsey) and it allows other players to grow into their role since they are expected to pick up the slack. Of course, that was just 1 game last year but we saw Jones turn into a different player after that TCU game.

It would be pretty awesome if TJ puts Watson into the starting lineup after all the early season hand wringing! Lol

I can't say I've read much, if any, "woe is me."
Yep not seeing that either. We’ll be fine.

That gives a bigger role to Heise and Watson may be back in rotation as 8th man. Or the freshman

Not great. Not terrible.

Never want to lose a guy even for a game but...

...I don't think Nojus and/or Watson is too terrible a drop.

My money is on Nojus as the 8th man simply because he presents more of an offensive threat, which is what we would lose with Milan out. Who knows, might be situational and see both Nojus and Demarion.

This is where it hurts a tiny bit that he wasn’t getting much , if any, playing time in the blowouts.

I'd be amazed if Nojus comes off the bench before Watson if he's healthy. Nojus has a bright future but I think he's found himself in a similar spot to Omaha last year where TJ just doesn't have a ton of trust in him. Watson is a known quality and TJ knows what he will get out of him.
