ESPN bias

The Kentucky program who hasn’t won a NC in 12 years and hasn’t been to a FF in 9 years? S16 since 2019? Oh and all of that with the most NBA draft picks?

You should direct that energy towards UK.
Yeah I hesitated to put UK on the list & didn’t put Duke btw. UK has had a history of success under many coaches, we’ll see how Duke does. If Few ever leaves, Zags will weaken.

Sports media has followed mainstream media in moving to a 24/7 news cycle. Problem is there isn't really interesting news happening in the world of sports 24/7 unless you're just a die-hard fan of all things sports.

Companies like ESPN are successful, so there must be more interest in this than I'm estimating.

He’s missed over 60% of regular season games in his career. If you’re only playing every 3rd game that means you’re a bust regardless of the numbers you have.

The best ability is availability
Damn work every 3rd game for that kind of money, sign me up. Actually I'd work every day for that kind of money.:)

Nothing is hurting us in recruiting right now.

That argument about tv coverage is no longer relevant, IMHO.

And I actually think the ESPN app is an amazing viewing experience right now. How cool is it that you can choose 1,2,3, or 4 games, arrange them how you want, and choose what games go where on your tv?

Cmon YoutubeTv you need to do that too!
I think they do that.

As a pure glutton for punishment, I'm watching College Gameday this morning. I wonder if they will even bother to spend 30 seconds collectively on the Big 12

Because I'm a glutton for punishment, I'm watching College Gameday right now. Bilas just said Auburn and Duke are the best 2 teams.

Yeah that looks actually very good but I’d be interested in how they were seeded those nine years and if they were taken out by a lower seed. Obviously getting in two finals in nine years exceeds anything the Hawkeye football program has accomplished.

I just heard it on the ladies game broadcast, and I've heard it countless times during MBB and football this year: "Ames, Iowa isn't for everyone." Can't stand that phrase. Why isn't Ames for everyone? What specifically is wrong with our college town? It always comes off as the worst kind of backhanded remark.

Our own head football coach said it on national tv after the Pop Tarts bowl game. I like it, it isn’t for everyone.

Bad weather, small town, not really any history in the grand scheme of things.

Isn’t that just quoting Campbell, which he followed with “it’s a special place”
