Home internet

Love our Starlink
Do you love it because you have to choose between that and HughesNet though? If I recall (based on some of your posts), I think you live in a very rural area, so wondering if you have any other options.

I’ve been told StarLink is worlds better than Hughes or any other satellite internet, but it’s still satellite internet, which means more prone to outages. Plus, it’s crazy expensive, isn’t it?

Correct we don't have very many options however we have had no problems and very little outages.

My issues I posted about in the past stem from customer service do to damaged equipment. In one case a Muskrat cut the wire running from the side of the house to the satellite and in the other case hail damaged the satellite. The lack of customer service was very frustrating. But as far as the actual internet goes it has been GREAT.

Yeah it's expensive, but internet is something I have no problem paying more money for because slow internet drives me crazy and since both my wife and I work from home it is needed.

Metronet has been down for the last 45 minutes here in Ankeny, so no TV. I'm going nuts. In no mood to go outside or read a book.
