According to the quote, the "control box" is around $350, it would be in the garage, it is not included in the price of the lights, which just for the front would have been $4200 to run along the eves of the house. Wife wanted a quote for the back, thinking more people could see it from the side street and that would was another $2000, not sure if they are not all wired together if we would need another control box back there or not.

Just crazy prices for permanent lights.

If the price they quoted for the front was the entire house and the control box we might have gone for it, but no way that the price they quoted. I do like the idea of the permanent lights and the salesman said "some insurance companies give you a break on your homeowners insurance because they are considered "safety lights" and there was no sells tax because it was a reduces theft lighting on the house. But its a lot of money to come out and string up some lights around the house. Does come with a 20 year unlimited warranty.

I'd have to see what the lights cost and how often they need maintenance. If they are in need of fixing often then the warranty could get expensive over time.

I'm running on like 8 years straight now for coming up with something every night in December. My youngest daughter is only 3, so I've got some years to go too.
