Really good seats left in Carver

Hassell, a St Ambrose graduate, is the ultimate tavern hawk, and only a tavern hawk would criticize ISU fans for all the empty Carver seats.

Honestly I think he's just trying to goad ISU fans into showing up there so that Iowa looks even worse and is more ready for a change. He's done with fran like most of their fans and is in the 'an embarrassment for my team is a good thing in the long run' stage.

Yep. Hassel wants Fran gone. If he can goad ISU fans into showing up to make it Hilton East, that helps.

I had been wondering if we could sneak a few thousand into this.

I haven't been to a game there in 20 years, but I kind of swore it off because the parking situation is somehow much worse than football where I don't mind just parking a long ways away and walking. At least back then it was a next level pain to park there vs parking near Hilton.

Any rational Iowa fan would have wanted Fran gone at three to five specific points. He's not anywhere near a good enough coach to give an entire generation of the program to him.

Hassel secretly loves the Cyclones.

It's a lot easier when you live out of state, especially even out of midwest.

Even in Chicago the rivalry still kind of got to me because in the fall I'd see Iowa football fans all over the place, but now that I'm on the west coast and have family that are Iowa fans, I have almost zero animosity toward them. I actually feel bad they are stuck with Fran for decades and want at least somewhat better for them.

When the game moved to Thursday night, it became much more difficult to attend in IC.

Maybe Alford will come back HAHAHAHAHAHA

In that case, CFers should buy tickets for their Hok fan friends and relatives as an early Christmas gift.

We have family and friends in IC and CR, if it was a Friday night or Saturday game I would probably go. But I don't want to take off work for the game, and driving back late on I80 does not appeal.
Same....if it were a weekend game and I could snag $50 tickets i'd be there...exact reasons you stated...late night on i80 doesn't sound fun.

Their bball fans are so checked out, I doubt there are many issues. Just don't sit next to Margaret and you should be good.
I'm not worried about their fans, they were fine for basketball. I was just disappointed with our team. I went over there with my son and thought there is no way we can lose. We had Monte, Iceman, Naz Burton. They had Peter Jok and and bunch of bums. There was not one point in that game that you could even cheer as a cyclone fan. It was a terrible game. I guess I'm snakebitten.

Horrible venue to attend a game, little to no parking close, so you have to walk quite a wise to park and get there. Once inside, since you enter at ground level, you walk down to your seats in the bowl, which sounds nice but makes it impossible to get in and out again to go to the RR or after the game. Like very thing else over there in IC they never thought about making it easy on the fans.

I’m expecting a loss.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. Hate to use the cliche, but it really will be their superbowl. It will be their first, and possibly only, (near) sellout. It's our first real road game. They will play with false bravado at home. I expect everything Sandfort throws up will go in.

Fran will be on the officials all night. Every touch will get called. We'll be in foul trouble from the start.

I THINK we will prevail, but it's not going to be fun.

Now, it could go completely the other way (meaning an easy win), in which case I will be the happiest sumbitch alive.

Given the way this series has gone in the past it wouldnt be at all surprising if someone started some **** on their end so the refs called it more tightly to 'get it under control'.
