That says EVERYTHING anyone should need to know about his coaching staff folks. I don't care if we won 10 games somehow with smoke and mirrors... we play to not lose games instead of playing to win and it drives me insane!

This. We did win 10 games, including wins over 3 teams who went 8-4. But this was also our easiest schedule in my lifetime, no doubt. And we tried desperately to lose to UCF and Utah, both teams that ended with losing records. We won a lot of the close games this year, but our record has been deceiving. I was really happy with the development we saw in September but we have really plateaued from UCF to now.

Arizona State came out today with the mentality of leaving everything on the field, and we decided to try “controlled, conservative.” It got us a nice first couple of drives but then our guys froze. It’s not even just Skattebo, it’s a lot of stuff in our control too. There’s a difference between putting it all out there and losing, and getting boat-raced while standing there helpless.

The other in Lubbock where he threw an INT on the first drive and Tech went up 14 nothing.
