I’m nervous. First drive was beautiful, but I have also seen our offense completely stall too many times this year. Hope that’s not the case today. For once we were actually running at will at them, so hoping the O line continues to dominate, so that we can get 1 one 1s for our WRs.

We're better than this team. No doubt in my mind. One risky play that paid off and another that their head coach almost pooped himself on.
And another 30 yard run on the first play of the game and another wide open receiver that got them in the red zone on their first drive.

We may indeed be better this is not " one play away". This is 4-5 plays in one quarter where so far, they've made every one they had to on offense and we've not made one defensively. Stovall's 1st catch he was wide open for 21 yards.

They've hit 3 big plays - 28, 21, 63- that's not one "risky" play. Defense is way behind them s of right now. Hopefully Heacock can tighten it up.

If it takes trick plays to beat us we will be just fine
Agreed. They are relying on trick plays and got lucky on the Skattebo pass so far. I think straight up we’ll win. Just need to stop them on one of these plays and the game will turn bigly in our favor.
Yes. Consider this.

We are notorious for slow playing the 1st half, to the point of frustration from our fans.

Arizona State has openly showed their cards from the jump. It will obviously be adjusted to and emphasized.

Just NO TURNOVERS. LIMIT PENALTIES

First drives are typically scripted for what the trends are in the defense and then it comes down to adjustments, etc.

So far ISU is keeping things basic/taking what's given/needed and hopefully they stay within that approach.
