*** Official #5 Marquette vs #6 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

They covered it in the first 10 minutes. Duke-Auburn, KU-Creighton, then our game.
Not what I saw. Sportscenter started out with Kansas Creighton, then Duke Auburn, then switched to the NBA and the Lakers getting blown out by the Heat. They didn't cover ISU until halfway through, then when Seth Greenburg was on he only talked about the Duke and KU games with no mention of our game. It is what it is. Duke and KU are always going to get top billing when they have big games.

Also really impressed by Jefferson and Jackson being decent passers.
I was impressed by a couple of Jackson's drives. For his size he isn't bad at it. He is definitely going to get a lot of contact and fouls doing that.

Agreed. More feeding the post would help stop the bleeding when we go cold from three or go on one of those scoring droughts.

Our big guys are GOOD! That spin move by Jefferson on the fast break was just filthy.
I said. No no no. Then yes!

It really reminded me of some of the former Cyclone great forwards with excellent ball skills

If that’s a glimpse then…More please!

Van Pelt’s show after Duke-Auburn had lengthy highlights of our game.

Did people post that?
I was just listening during my couple hours of toilet cleaning, but John and Brent kept mentioning our points on inbounds plays.
Not in my terms. But it was clear from posts that TJ is a mediocre simpleton who waited too long to call timeouts and Shaka is a literal genius who calls timeouts at the perfect time. Seems that TJ maybe needs to go ro "time out reform school" immediately or should be fired for cause!! Just ask the Biebs !

ESPN sucks, and it really sucks our game was on ESPN+, but I'm also tired of our fans' victim mentality where it's to the point where we're making **** up.

Could coverage have been better and more extensive? Sure. But the making **** up to feed the narrative makes us look like whiny losers.

Was Shaka even on Jamie's short list to sit in a waiting room with Dana Altman and Tom Kreen while he conducted highly intensive interviews?

Lipsey had 1 point and the Clones scored 81 against a Top 5 team.

My take is Lipsey doesn't need to take shots for ISU to be a high powered offense. He just needs to be an efficient scorer in most games. As long as he is a floor general and defends he's solid.
Folks, Tamin is hurt. Not sure why Chris Williams keeps saying in podcasts things like “I don’t think he’s hurt” or “I don’t think he’s been hurt”. Yes, he was and is hurt. TJ again reiterated in his presser (the same info he shared in Maui) that Tamin isn’t close to 100%. But he’s not a low enough % that he’s going go sit out… he’s a beast. He’ll have plenty of games where he’ll score (and be counted on to score) yet this year.

I would sit him for all of the noncon games we have left other than Iowa.

For me, I don't need him and don't think the team will ever need him to force his own offense and score in volume. What concerns me is stuff that I'm not sure results from an injury. The missed layups and his one arm passes that get thrown away for turnovers.
The simple stuff is all I really care about from Tamin along with him still playing tough defense

None of our bigs are what you’d consider rim protectors but they are really bigs bodies that have offensive skills and move well at both ends of the floor.
Jackson seemed to alter Marquettes shots when he was out there. Saw some floaters that were much higher than they'd usually be.
