With the injury to JJ and Darnold on a 1 year contract I don't see this as a bad option. It gives KOC some extra time to work with and evaluate Jones to determine if they want to sign him to a 1 year contract next season

looking at the schedule I am feeling like a good chance at 13 wins.
nothing like being the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFC and getting the 5 or 6 seed.

Same. KOC has some familiarity with Jones, and there isn't really any downside to this. I've never thought much of Jones, but if anyone can get production out of him, it's O'Connell.
