Feel a bit apprehensive posting this as it feels a bit conceited on my part but I know there are many who care and instead of reaching out to several individually this way more people who care can find out.

After looking on job boards waiting for Old Chicago owner to get back to me about post closing cleanup I finally applied to the first job I found that caught my eye. Sent in online application late Monday got text about setting up an interview today. Interview is tomorrow.

Nice. I've hired plenty of people over the years and in my experience it's the application/resume that gets you the interview, and it's the interview that gets you the job. It's all about fit. Be yourself, be positive, make it clear you're a team player. You got this.

As a long time hiring manager; here is my advice.
Be prepared.
Don’t be desperate.
Have confidence.

I wish you success and look forward to learning about your journey.

Awesome.

Know your story. Know how you bring value to the interviewer.

Relax. Enjoy the conversation.

Best of luck

Just tell them that you’re a legend in an online community obsessed with historically subpar sports teams (but who are doing well right now).

That kind of dedication to being an ISU fan means you can be dedicated to ANYTHING.

Best of luck.

Tell me about a time when things didn't go the way you'd like

Whew....how much time do you have????

You got this thing.

Don't be late. Write a thank you note. Don't complain about current job. Don't be dead serious. Ask questions. Research the company. Make eye contact. Don't bring up salary. Probably some of these have cost me job offers.

Don't take a job where you might have to work at midnight on game days! Just kidding, good luck.

Good luck, Rulzzz! Just be the best version of yourself (CMC’s yarn is correct). You’ll do great, and as @Rabbuk said, also be assessing whether they are a right fit for you.

The thing that helped me with job interviews is remembering it's also determining for you if your employer is a fit. Also the very worst outcome is you get some more practice with job interviewing for your next one.

They did provide a video telling about them and the job. It's a company that cleans businesses, houses, apartments.

There are parts to this job that I probably wouldn't find in others jobs but I'd be lying if I didn't say my anxiety is at an all time high too, but that would go for any job.

For 19 years I had a job I knew inside and out. The fear of the unknown and failure is running high.
