I found this interesting. Per ESPN,

Arkansas State lost "28-18 at Michigan last week but earned a $1.8 million paycheck. Iowa State is paying no guarantee because the game is part of a home-and-home series. The Cyclones play in Jonesboro next season."

I guess that explains why ISU plays home-and-home series!

This is exactly what the B12 needs to do when scheduling the B1G and SEC now. They are getting those huge paychecks they need to pay up to play them.

The income separation from the SEC/B1G to the B12 is similar to what it is from the B12 to G5. So make them pay to play them.

Really enjoyed it. You guys have an awesome fan base. Someone sent me a picture of your tailgate area. Holy smokes!

Give em hell red
What’s your restaurant recommendation in Jonesboro? We go by on our way to and back from Florida in the winter. Be a good reason to keep driving when going thru Memphis.

Duh!
Ticket prices could be part of that, ours are on the higher end of tickets in P4, probably among the highest in the B12, if not the highest, especially when figuring in the required donation level for sections.
Before the expansion, I thought we had the lowest prices in the league but may be misremembering. Are we really the highest?

We are close if not.

For instance Michigan, 50 yard line season donation cost $850, which our donation is either $7500 or $15K for those, cant find the cost of the tickets at Michigan, but at that donation level required It should be quite a bit lower.

KState Max regular seat tickets are $400. Their donation levels are $1300 for their highest tier not including clubs.
Here is their req donations for seats. compare that to Iowa state.

here is wvu, WAY cheaper than ISU. $500 donation for 50 yrd line, and tickets at only $399 vs $650 here.

OSU 50 yard line. $250 season tix, $1100 donation max, less on one side. Considering we cant even sniff a 50 yrd line seat without at least donating $7500, probably $15K, then add $650 per ticket.

After taking the time to go on " THE DEN" ( Arkansas State's message boards) I have learned that the majority of the Red Wolves fans are very optimistic. They believe if they can spread us out and widen the field they can expose our secondary. They also are in hopes of getting back an experienced offensive lineman ( Makllan) to bolster their young offensive line . They think they will be able to establish a running game based on Iowa and North Dakota's running production. They have little respect for Coach Heacock's defense and feel they have a good chance.
That being said... what do you see are IOWA STATE's keys to victory?

It wasn’t easy living in Towers with the football team. There was a lot of vandalism. I always worried about elevators if there were more than two linemen. It took forever to replace the water fountain they ripped off the wall. And the male/female ratio was pretty skewed
Had a couple of guys who dropped water balloons on some guys in '84, ended up being football team guys. They came up and started causing problems, the RA was right next door told the football guys to get out. It was quite humourous.

They still believe that they beat themselves. ISU didn't beat them. Had they showed up, they would have demolished us.
I also saw them say it was because they were missing 2 starters and a backup. LOL

Maybe someone should tell them how many starters we have been playing without.

We had two players on our floor. They went to Huxley, broke into a new construction and ripped out all the carpet. Brought it back and covered their entire room with carpet, including all 4 walls.

A football player stole my bike. Unbelievably, I saw him riding it on Welch and he was actually bragging to another player (who was walking) " Hey, look at my new bike!" I just shook my head. And I walked to and from class from then on.

Also had a football player steal my bike, my old mountain bike as a teenager. Saw him later that day and I tried to chase him down but was obviously a lot slower on foot! Found it a few weeks later with a fancy new bike lock and found out he got it formally ’registered’ with campus, and I had no proof it was mine… so that sucked.

Should've cut it free and took it back anyway. What an ass clown.
