Which was the dumber act? Colton Brewer breaking his hand by punching a wall or Wisdom getting tossed in a rare start? Both guys are probably candidates to be waived.
but what did he do that amounted to being tossed? didn't say anything to the ump. I know throwing your helmet is not good but have seen others do it and get tossed. seemed kinda knee jerk reaction by the ump. watching the replay the ump just stood there and offered no explanation at all. oh well the game goes on.

Jesus Sanchez of Miami topped both those. Dumb & Dumber.

Miami gonna win today and scored 4 in the 9th, so the play will be easily overlooked.
  1. Cubs intentionally walked Jesus Sanchez to load the bases with no outs.
  2. Sanchez is trotting down to first and he gets about 15 feet from first when he hears the guy pinch running for him coming up from behind.
  3. Sanchez turns around and goes to the dugout.
  4. Someone on Cubs noticed the play and brought to Umps attention. Sanchez is called out.
  5. Fortunately for Sanchez the Marlins go on to score 4 and easily win.

Wasn't smart for Wisdom to do that while still in the batters box. Unless Wisdom said something to the Ump, felt the ejection was uncalled for. Players throw bats, helmets in frustration all the time.

And to think you could buy 2-3 elite bats and have the best lineup in the league.

But we’ll still have Happ, Hoerner, and Paredes contracted.
But you see those last 2 years of Soto might be bad. Too big of a penalty for the 8 Hall of Famer in his prime seasons.

At least he can't strike out 4 times today now
I guess he went down looking on a strike that painted the corner (and was correctly called a strike) rather than swinging for the fences on a pitch outside the zone is the 1 positive? So ready to be done with this bum eventually. My guess he was probably more frustrated with himself than the actual strike call

You can trade Hoerner and Paredes.
We'd still have Swanson, Happ and Suzuki for 26.
Hopefully Amaya continues to develop.
