Ah, I didn't realize you meant whole set. Usually I replace my irons as a set, and then change out the woods, wedges and putter as I can.

I had a 2 hybrid I was struggling with so switched to a TM Stealth 5 wood. Has helped a lot. I've also been slowly switching my shafts out for regular flex (from stiff) as my age and some shoulder issues have limited my swing speed. That's helping a lot too.
I've only played one round, but I like them. The ball feels nice coming off the club. I struggled for the first couple holes, but they are very different than the clubs I had been playing for 20 years. Just took a bit to get used to them.
Let me know what you think after you get one. I played with one at the store the other day and was intrigued. I've had the same putter since I was 15 and love it. I haven't gotten a new one because straight center shafts aren't readily available, but that's all they have.
The Ping crossover's are gold. I have a 3 Gl420 that I can bomb 240+ on a good day.
I have a 5 wood to go with my 4 hybrid. I prefer the 5 wood. It's easier to get in the air for me and goes further.
I dream of finding a sweet deal on a heaven wood.
I've been looking to replace my 3 and 5 woods. ****'s has some demo woods for around $200. Anyone done this before? Some were still wrapped also. Worth it or spend some extra for brand new?
Got the Calloway ParadymX 6-PW and a 5 hybrid last year. Best clubs I’ve ever used, extremely forgiving and feel great when you swing them. Highly recommend.
What's so cool about getting fitted at that place (compared to a Ken Schall/Austads/Golf Galaxy)? It's $175 at Club Champion for only irons - if you know you're not gonna buy there I figure it would make sense to just get fitted where you do want to buy (or at least consider buying), as most of them apply the fitting fee to your purchase.
My 6 iron just snapped mid-swing last night, so I finally have a reason to upgrade my 10 year old Mizunos. I've always just bought used in the past, but want to try getting fitted since everyone who's done so raves about how much it helps.
I got fitted at CC. I don't think there is anything special about their process. Since the fitting, I've actually heard that other places probably do it better.
They are basically a data driven fitting process that uses a trackman. They have a lot of fancy (expensive) shafts that make them different than others.
Their selection was better than any of the other places I've been to by quite a bit. But it was the fitting session itself that I liked the most. They did a pretty good job of keeping it relaxed and just letting me get into a rhythm before we started really messing with things. I tried every major brand and a couple others and never felt like I was being rushed. The guy was pretty knowledgeable and helped me understand why brand A was giving me a different experience from brand B etc.
It's just better service than anywhere I'd been to or had heard from others at other local places. I've done a club fitting, just for a single club each time, at Golf Galaxy and Scheels. It was basically in the middle of the store while the guy had to help customers at the same time. And it felt like a guy slightly more knowledgeable than me who was trying to get me out of there as soon as possible.
I ended up regretting my fit in Ames 'cuz I think either I was mis-fitted, or my swing has drastically changed since then to where it doesn't apply anymore. My fitted irons about 7i-SW are fine, all clubs above that are borderline unhittable for me and have steadily gotten worse since my fitting day. I can count the total number of great strikes I've had with my driver and wood in the 2 years I've had them one on hand. I'll suck up and get targeted lessons on them at some point soon, but I'm concerned the coach will also tell me what I'm trying to hit is simply too difficult and not forgiving enough for my skill level. Changing them is definitely not an expense I'm excited about shortly after putting $2,000+ into the bag already. I'm lefty, too, so that limited my fit options to begin with.
It's worth noting I encountered some lower back issues since then and it's totally possible that my swing has changed to subconsciously compensate for preventing pain/injury, but even if that's the case, my fit still would be severely altered by that change and would just be a case of picking a bad time to do it. Set of lessons I did last year, about the only help I got was "just don't swing as hard!", which was largely unhelpful... and would also negate my fitting. I got put into stiff (and in the case of irons, heavier) shafts all the way down the bag due to swing speed. Being fair, this is an extreme example and not something the average golfer would go through.

No suggestion on the clubs (that lefty thing is a real killer in the club department) but if golf is causing or exacerbating a back injury, one cause can be reaching for the ball which leads to bending over at the hips/lower back and promotes a lot of back twist as opposed to natural rotation. If you can, stand closer to the ball, keep the hands closer to the body and choke up if it helps. Keep your swing more vertical; a flatter swing can cause pain as well. Good luck with the back!
I play 50 rounds a year minimum (it's probably a lot more) and my Rocketballz 3w turns 12 this year. I wonder how many balls that thing has hit.

That's a big gap... Is there something else going on?
I looked up my clubs (TM Stealth) -
9 Iron is 37 and I get 147ish.
PW is 43 and I get 135.
AW is 49 and I get 123ish.
Having that big of a gap makes me think the clubs are different, do you have different shafts in them?
Might just be mental or a bad swing as they have the same shaft. I can hit PW further then 120 but I have to really muscle it and the swings feels out of control.
