Big 12 Media Days thread

“Hey, you went to streaming to have more choice and fewer ads. Here’s your favorite sports team on streaming! With ads, of course.”

While it’s basically re-inventing OTA TV, at least the streaming option means viewers anywhere can have access. I wouldn’t mind it (and like others said, MLB should get off their “protected regions” crap and go to something like this).
No I think Twins, Brewers, Cardinals, Cubs, White Sox, and Royals all being blacked out in Iowa is a great business model to grow your sport.

It's still regional. Per the link.

VICTORY+ will be available for download on smart TVs, tablets and smart phones in September 2024 ensuring fans within the Dallas Stars regional territory (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas) can enjoy content wherever they are on their preferred device. Fans outside the Stars regional territory will still be able to enjoy VICTORY+ to watch a robust menu of ancillary content provided by the team.

Well, then, that’s just using an antenna for a regional OTA network with extra steps.
