*in general* **** seems to peter out by the time it gets to Milwaukee. I'd say we generally get hit with stuff like this 6-8pm so if you are ahead or behind that timeline, that's probably a good plan.
Family west of Minneapolis have had over 5 inches since Saturday. They cannot take any more. Thankfully they have a secondary system to pump water out of their sump to secondary location...they will need it.
Wife’s uncle lives in Bloomington MN (southern suburb of MSP) and said they’ve had 18” of rain in 6 weeks. We were there in early may and it was dry as can be.
Part of I-90 in SW MN closed due to flooding.
Lot of flash flood (and regular flood) warnings in SE SD, SW MN, and NW IA last night and this morning.

The Madison isthmus was largely underwater Wednesday after getting 3 inches of rain in an *hour* and with storms coming today and tomorrow another flood warning is out.
Is there such a thing as too much moisture?

Properly mix cement
Make a pie crust
Start a fire
Mold clay
Plant a Garden
Properly store corn or beans
Apply make up
Make homemade noodles
Mow lawn
Bale hay
Make beef jerky
The only one I haven’t done is apply make up . . . So I could be wrong about that one

Today is far worse in NC Iowa. I mowed yesterday and barely worked up a sweat. This morning I was hosing my pickup box out and was drenched in sweat. It is not comfortable at all.
Flood watch now out in Omaha for the Missouri River. Predicted crest between 32 and 33 feet, which would make it the 5th highest crest recorded. This would be very close to shutting down both I-29 and I-680 North of Omaha. Crest is forecast for somewhere in the Monday to Wednesday period next week.
