The joke amongst my wife and I is, the day we got married was the longest day of the year for both of us.

Our anniversary is June 21

Ahhh. Summer solstice. It holds a special place in my heart as I organized a 54 hole golf tournament (two adjacent 18 hole courses) with 48 entrants, prizes, Happy Gilmore hole, closest to cup hole, longest drive hole, bat spin before putt, and some other weird, but fun things. All teams were dynamically switched after each round (e.g. best score teamed with worst and so on up the ladder) Everyone got the Summer Solstice Golf Marathon hat, a packet of balls, tees and for those who finished, a pin saying you survived it. I managed to get a hell of a deal on fees so everyone was happy. We needed car lights on the last hole as everyone hung around to cheer on the last foursome, but fun (and exhaustion) was had by all. Sadly, never had the time or opportunity to repeat it. For those curious, Foxtail, Rohnert Park, CA
