What I never saw in that debate about unitasker devices (whether or not one should own a pizza cutter) was how often you use the device. If you make a lot of a pizza or quesadillas or similar foods, a traditional pizza cutter is a no-brainer. If you don't, then maybe it isn't.

I use a pizza wheel, because we used to make homemade pizza quite a bit, so I bought a decent one and it has held up.

Pizza wheel, It's not like it takes up a bunch of counter space. I just throw it in the drawer with mixing spoons and other assorted kitchen tools

Scissor cutting is insanity but the best pizza could theoretically be cut with it

I have a lot of power cutting tools that I paid a lot more money for that I use a lot less than my pizza cutter. So, I think you’re on to something.
