The dad was probably doing what he could to not ruin the situation.

That also shows that many of these incidents aren't for the woman's pleasure; it's for the thrill, the feeling of being young or hot enough to get high schoolers, or being in control.
The kid kind of had the best of all of it. He had "fun" without ever having to worry about knocking her up. I can't say a lot of people wouldn't have signed up for that extra curricular option in high school. Of course that doesn't make it right, but it's the true side of it.

Not only Mormons but a lot of religions think the same way. It's a sin against God if you do vaginal intercourse, but the loophole is other types are thought to be OK at least sin wise.
