Clark in each of the championship games scored 30 points.
Her combined shooting was 19-50, 38%. She had 13 assists and 10 turnovers.
Iowa allowed 61 points in the second quarter for the two games. They lost both championship games in the second quarter.
The bench getting out scored 37-0 seems impactful

You do have to give her a ton of credit, she overcame the odds of having 2 teams of McDonald's All-Americans at her disposal.

It’s almost like lots of talented players want to play for a great coach that plays team basketball, and despite the transfer portal, lots of other talented players did not want to play with a ball hog chucker that insists on whining and being the complete center of attention. Go figure.

Some of you guys have to be having a full on circle jerk at this result. I didn't realize people took women's basketball thus seriously.
Thus, this, that, the, thee which one you think is the winner?

I would like to see Brad Heinrichs of the Swarm go on KXNO tomorrow morning and talk about how much they spent to get the top players to complement CC. And if they didn’t whether it was the largest wasted opportunity in NIL history.

CC knows how to work the PR/drama. Don’t be surprised if she comes back next year with a huge announcement.

Though honestly it would be hilarious if she did given how many hawks have already forked out for Indiana fever tickets.

I don’t think she will but think she technically could. From what I understand she hasn’t filed paperwork yet. That would be a major blow to the Indiana WNBA team. I think they sold a ton of season tickets.

Iowa with only 18 minutes (Fuerbach with 5, Ogrady with 13) contributed by their bench. Bold strategy against a team that plays 9 deep.
Not sure Bruder had much of a choice, EIU just does not have the talent on the team the SC or UConn have, UConn's was hurt, but Bruder's top five were very good, but the game is not played with just our starters. She knew they were going to be good this year, she should have either tried to bring in more talent from the portal or played her subs more during the season. But doing so would have meant Clark playing less and not setting the records she was setting.
Basketball like football all comes down to recruiting the best talent, and SC just has more talent in the area than a state like Iowa will ever have. My son the lives down their said they have already signed the #2 player in the country for next season, and are in on the best player in the country. SC is not going away anytime soon.

A key spot was SC up 4 and Clark sent a perfect dime that Stuelke missed a bunny. Iowa actually had a few of those. Against an athleticly superior team you have to make those. Just glad they didn't.

Happy for Rae's sister. I'm sure Rae was probably there and as a former Cyclone even from out of state this was sweet for her.

Here is the National Gatorade Player of the Year stats at the Iowa state basketball Tournament.
Dowling had one state tournament win in four years.
Dowling’s record was 1-3.
Stats for her games
2017: 3-13 FG, 4 assists, 5 TO
2018: 9-27, 6 assists, 5 TO
2019: 12-33, 2 assists 5 TO
2019: 14-39, 2 assists 5 TO
(her team lost substate her senior year)

TOTAL: 38-112, 14 assists 20 turnovers

My question is, with one win in the state tournament, more turnovers than assists and 33 percent shooting, did she deserve national gatorade player of the year?

If she played at SC, she wouldn’t have set the all time scoring mark.

What was South Carolina before her? So she gets no credit for building that program? This is always one of the dumbest takes. Same thing with Saban. How dare you do your job (recruit) better than everyone else?!?!

Another interesting CC fact:
CC was held scoreless in the last six minutes of the final state tournament game she played.
CC was held scoreless in the last nine minutes of the final NCAA tournament game she played.
