*** Official IOWA STATE vs #19 Kansas State Game(Day) Thread ***

Honestly surprised at the lack of game weather discussion leading into tonight. A quick glance at latest HRRR computer model shows roughly 2-3" of snow before kickoff and roughly another 1-2" during game itself (NWS forecast has even more). Not a ton of snow, and fortunately winds light and not super cold, but no way weather shouldn't be a fairly big factor tonight.

If memory serves me correctly (please fact check me on this), shouldn't this be the snowiest ISU game since that 35-27 W at Colorado in 2000 (great game by Sage)? I know more recently Drake 2018 was a mess, but wasn't that mainly a cold rain with just a little sleety snow mixed in?

Dumbest looking mascot

Hoping for a clean game -- no pick 6's for example -- and hard play from the team. Just give themselves a chance today.

Who else is in Manhattan this weekend? They are calling for 4-7 inches of snow today.
Couple thoughts with the weather

1) it could keep some of the crowd away
2) poor weather/field conditions will negate speed. This may be favorable for isu
3) poor weather/field conditions will favor teams who run the ball effectively. That favors KSU
4) turnovers will be critical

Been awhile since I have went to a bar to watch a game. Any bars in Des Moines play the TV audio?

With MBB and WBB both losing badly to mediocre teams yesterday, I'd say we are due for a win today.
We are do for a National Championship in FB and BB, 2-3 times over, with as many losses we Cyclones have endured over the years .:D

I was just wondering the same thing about a place to watch the game in Ames.
