Not sure, it is nonexistent out here in Dubuque. Only Peace Tree beer I ever see is blond fatale.
Tastes like...victory.
Update: Went to West O last night and they were completely out of the cans. Did have a couple pints straight from the tap and it was delicious. Also purchased an Ames Lager T-shirt and sticker to help the cause.
Semi off-topic, but found an ISU branded wine at the West DSM Costco yesterday, figured I'd share in case anyone wants to grab some. It's a Cab Sav from Mano's in KC - never heard of it, but grabbed one for the bar/to crack on a special occasion. I assume the University gets something from it - not affiliated with We Will that I've heard.
Saw a bunch of those at the Ankeny location as well. I don't drink wine, so I passed on the $40 price, but I hope it's good!
Just spoke with a manager at Hyvee. He heard that there will probably be deliveries of Ames Lager tomorrow, but only 110 cases for all of central Iowa! His particular store MIGHT get 2 cases. Ugh.
I just stopped by the Urbandale Hy-Vee myself. Swarm Beer everywhere. No Ames Lager or Cyclonefest to be found.
I think Exile beer sucks, but they have to be making a killing with swarm beer. Good for them.
I'm abandoning my search for Ames Lager. Someone let me know when West O actually starts producing some.
If west O isn’t ramped up for these last couple weekends, they really screwed the pooch.
They installed 3 new large fermenters on August 14th specifically for this.
A plethora of Ames Lagers to be seen. On the counter, the floor, the shelves, and in the back room (per the worker). A glorious sight. Better check your local stores. Snagged myself a few more.
Just saw their map. Well, maybe next year I will get some. They have poor distribution then
