Yeah, my guess is if Wendy is still around he’d get most of the say.

I’m not as down on David Harris as some. He got there right before covid and money dried up because of that.
He was at UNI for 4 years before COVID. He's bad at his job.

Saw Justin Sell further up thread and he's both excellent and has the seemingly required UNI ties :)

Why on earth does ISU go to play at all these lower level teams? AT Ark State? Are you kidding? At Bowling Green? I don't see anyone else in the Big 12 doing this stuff.
Ole Miss plays at Tulane, NC State at UConn, Cal at North Texas, Washington State at Colorado State, Texas Tech at Wyoming, Oregon State at San Jose State, UCLA at SDSU, Wake Forest at Old Dominion, Alabama at South Florida, Oklahoma at Tulsa, Kansas at Nevada. Some of these are regional and make sense, but lots of schools play at a lower level school.

Did you look?

Since 2014 (Big 12 road games at G5 teams)
Baylor: at Buffalo, at SMU, at Rice (2x), at UTSA, at Texas State
Iowa State: at Toledo, at Akron, at UNLV, at Ohio
Kansas: at Memphis, at Ohio, at Central Michigan, at Houston, at Coastal Carolina, at Nevada
Kansas State: at UTSA
Oklahoma: at Tulsa (2x), at Army (COVID), at Tulane (moved to Norman due to hurricane)
Oklahoma State: at Central Michigan, at South Alabama, at Tulsa, at Boise State
TCU: at SMU (rivalry)
Texas Tech: at Houston, at UTEP, at Wyoming

It may have been before 2014, but I think Texas (Longhorns) played at Wyoming too.

Pollard brought Harris with him from WI. One of Jamie's mistakes. I believe I know why he was hired at WI and it would not be a good way to hire people but it's what is done.
Not supervisor material. No PR skills.

What was the reason?

The median score since CMC has played UNI is:

ISU - 24.5
UNI - 24.5

UNI has rushed for 34 and 45 yards in the last two meetings though. However, we have only outgained them in the CMC era by about 50-60 yards on average...

Since 1992, the median scoring in this game.......

ISU - 21.5
UNI - 23.5

If you are overlooking UNI in any way.... You are a fool

Correct.

Texas - non-conference non-P5 road games 2000-2013:
2013: at BYU*
2009: at Wyoming (played Wyo at home in 2010 and 2012, so a 2-for-1)
2008: at UTEP
2007: at UCF*
2001: at Houston*
* Obviously these are now P5 and would be in-conference

I’m not sure why anyone would be talking about who Jamie’s successor would be. Clearly, he’s going to stick around until one of his kids is ready.

:jimlad:

Seriously, I expect the landscape to change before that becomes an actual discussion—even if it’s just a couple of years.

I watched highlights of the last 3 UNI games today. Even with the win, these game highlights cause me anxiety...

I don't really follow athletic department news, but could someone summarize the issues with David Harris?
My few encounters with David Harris at ISU were pretty non-eventful. He never seemed to speak up much in meetings, but then again, he wasn't running the meetings. Seemed like he preferred operating more behind the scenes.

How about we hire someone from the commercial real estate or investment world to replace Pollard once CyTown is done??

Big kid athletics is big business and needs profit oriented leaders. Same thing with hiring Yormark to lead the conference...

$1200 single game football tickets, who is ready! Only need 4000 people to show up at that price to make the same money. Much more efficient. And if you get more than that, its gravy.
