Vikings are using scrimmages vs the Titans (last week) and Cardinals (this week) to play starters against other teams. The starters are still getting good reps, just not televised

Has anyone heard what is the injury? With all the gambling garbage going on, I'm starting to wonder if he was involved.
I thought the same thing. See post #2616. I haven’t anything specific on his injury and KOC mentioned in a press conference something about his situation. Of course no one in the Minnesota media caught on and asked what he meant by situation.

Vikings traded Vederian Lowe to New England for a 6th round pick. I didn't think Lowe had played very well during the preseason, so getting anything for him is interesting. It's a vote of confidence for O'Neil's health. Also, I'm wondering if they're planning on bringing in another interior lineman. Dalton Risner potentially, or maybe a trade

Speculation that he could make the roster and get IR'd. Putting him on the IR before the 53 man cut down means he's done for the year. If they do it after rosters are set, he can come back during the year.

Here's the Vikings initial 53 man roster.
Kene made the roster, but they only kept 3 RBs total. With his injury, I suspect that him being added to IR and another running back getting signed is still very much in play.
And they only kept 8 offensive lineman. I'm guessing there's a waiver claim or signing in the future there as well.

Surprised Luigi Vilain was cut. I think someone else snags him.
Everything I read about him is he's talented, but the learning curve is proving difficult.

They haven't disclosed. It must not be season ending, or he'd be on IR already, but he missed almost all of training camp
