Didn’t see anything posted on it but McDonald was heavily featured on Hard Knock last night and after making an awesome play one of the panthers was asking what college he went to. Guy looks like he is going to be a beast in the NFL.
I can't wait to see him play in a 4 man front.

I feel like our LBs have been fine. The biggest issue is that Andrews bulked them up too much. Rose and Vance lost their speed. Last year, they were OK until Reeder got hurt.

Rose wasn't on the team last year. Vance would never start on a team with better LBs on their roster and the same with Vaughm I thought Reeder was the best of the bunch but he was injured part of the year. Outside of OL (a perennial weakness with a lot of the issues stemming from poor coaching and schematics) it was easily the weakest/least skilled/and least talented position on the field. STs don't count because we (apparently) don't care about those at Iowa State.

Yeah I know Rose wasn’t on the team last year. I just find it weird to say the LBs were that bad on a top 5 defense in the country. If we were ranking position groups on last years team, I’d put them ahead of every single group on offense. OL was horrible, TE was horrible, RB was horrible after Brock and Norton got hurt, WR had one guy, QB was inconsistent at best.

I still don't get how people think Will underperformed last year. He was everywhere, got double teamed every single play, and the entire game plan from every offense was planned around him. I'm not sure if people just watch the ball or what, he was the best player in the field almost every snap of the year.

Teams had a lot of energy put into keeping him at bay.

I get Heacock is a defensive genius, but if he goes and tears it up as a true rush edge I may shed a tear.
Tear it up like, say, break Von Miller’s Big 12 sack record?.

Here’s the deal. Will would’ve been more productive in terms of sacks as an edge rusher in a four man front because that’s a very different role.

It’s like taking a blocking fullback that puts up good rushing totals while also blocking well. You move him to tailback, give him more carries and a lead blocker he’s going to run for more yards. It sure as **** doesn’t mean he was misused as a fullback.

Heacock is a miracle worker.
