Football needs to start soon, I don't know what I'm going to do without my favorite soap opera now that it all came together.
I don’t think it is completely over yet. There is still time to add Gonzaga and UConn as basketball only schools.

Are you kidding? The book or movie would make more money than the $200 million media package Apple offered.

I'll bet you a happy meal we'll see a book or movie down the road. For the movie, I recommend the following actors for key roles:

Yormarck: Tom Hanks
Kliavkoff: Christopher Walken
Canzano: John Malkovich
Wilner: Gary Busey

I think a movie would be very interesting on this topic...sort of a "Late Shift" for the late night wars between the Letterman/Leno camps of the early 90s!

I'm a strategist by nature. Something is just not right. ALL this moving around and only 4 teams have been demoted! Not for one second are we not being played ... somehow. Oddly, I believe the SEC and B12 are the two with 'sound' stabilization strategies (SEC = regionalization, B12 = basketball brand). But what still doesn't make sense are the numbers (content=conference, agent=media people, money=you via advertising). While for a long time, I believed the entertainment dollar was best spent on athletics because of the high cost of other types entertainment, I do feel that now it's gone too far. The belt will tighten severely next time around. Have we (B1G and B12 especially) diluted ourselves to the point of attrition next time around? Until the numbers make sense, my mind will be wondering why.

We're firmly in the bundling stage in college sports. But like many here have said, after the ACC collapses there is not much more bundling to be done. The next phase will be unbundling.

Yes. And and when that phase happens, I could definitely see a return to more regional conferences. Or at the very least, regional pods within a greater conference entity. When the boom flattens out, there's no way that flying non-revenue sports across the country every week will be sustainable or desired.

Oooh! I have a new one for you to watch. Tales of sexual assault, sweeping scandals under the rug, racism, and lawsuits. 10/10 would watch again. Its titled Northwestern

And we don’t know how the unbundling will look like; it could be conferences dropping teams or end up going back to regionals or sports-based conference.

This one was discussed in May - of course now it’s bundling instead of unbundling but unbundling might happen in the future. I think some people are still in denial that the unbundling can happen in the future

It would be fun to have this as a reality show. Let the audience pick the first one to get voted off the island, Minnesota or Iowa.

Iowa hawk fans were all in favor of realignment during OuT and USCLA. Now reality hits Tom Brands. One week he is in Los Angeles and the next week at Pennsylvania.

It’s mHver so take it as you like. I would like to add Stanford and it makes sense to add a brand cali school so I’m posting it.

No need to reply mHver knows nothing. I’m aware. :p

Sorry Stanford, I don't think you guys are a good cultural fit. But please help yourself to a slushy and a few gallons of diesel on your way out.

Stanford and UConn?

If Stanford reached out to B12 (and leaked it), it's probably just a ploy to get the B10 to make them an offer.

I could see Stanford putting all non FB sports in the WCC (Pepperdine, St Mary’s, Gonzaga, etc) and then having to do some hard discussions about the options and future of football.

If, and I know the IF is huge because of the source, but if they did, it’s probably to get the B10 to bite on them like they did to UW and UO. I have a hard time believing Stanford wants anything to do with the B12.
