So devil's advocate for the WSU/OSU partial shares rumor (I know who it came from), if UU, UA, ASU split their 3 full shares 5 ways, it's still 19.2 per school. If they rope CU in for 4 full shares splitting 6 ways its 21.3 per school. Not completely unrealistic without needing more from the networks. And still better than the AppleTV+ deal.

100%. I will be real mad when it’s gone. ****. The game has been on ABC nationally a few times recently.

With only 3 or 4 major conference emerging, every inter conference game is going to be huge not just for intrigue but also some computer data to see who is actually really playing best before the gigantic interconference starts.

If teams move to 10 games and barely play other Power 3 or Power 4 out of conference the playoff selection is going to be a guess and even computer data might not be that meaningful.

I’d love to read a book by an insider on what happened this morning. According to McMurphy and Thamel, Arizona applied and was admitted to the B12 last night. However that hasn’t been officially announced by the school or B12, and hasn’t been widely reported on.

This morning the report came out and was widely reported (including by Thamel and kind of by McMuphy) that all 9 were expected to sign the P12 GOR. But if AZ was already admitted to the B12, then obviously, they weren’t going to do that. So…. what was the reason for that report, who were the sources saying that and why? Like WTF happened there? OU/WA leaked they were going to sign GOR to squeeze the B10 for more money? Why would AZ go along with that ruse?
Monty just mentioned on his show that all 9 presidents did indeed show up to the meeting this morning. They started to dive into numbers and then presented the GOR. Oregon spoke up first and told everyone they were leaving. Everyone else then took a vote and only ASU (Crow) and Wash St were ready to sign.

OMG, that is insane if true.

If ASU ends up in Big 12 they're the luckiest SOBs in all of conference realignment history for ASKING to be in MWC and ending up in B12.

Here is where I’m at after all this craziness. Get to 16 with the 4 corner schools in football. Go to 18 in basketball ONLY. Add Gonzaga and Uconn. Make them both a basketball only school. Wait until ACC falls apart and then reevaluate.
I really could see this happening. Gonz and Conn as basketball schools would be great adds, you wouldn't need to shell out to much $ for them, and scheduling with 18 teams is way way easier for basketball.

A lot of times in Sept Iowa/ISU is one of the best games of the week.

Teams play a lot of turd games in non conf.
Last year I happened to be fishing in Northern Wisconsin during the game. Since it was in Iowa City (I won't go to that hell hole), I figured I'd find it at a bar. Sure enough, it was plastered all over the TVs up there. Don't underestimate the power of the Big 10 to love them some Big 10 games. There is a reason the TV people pay them so much. It's a borderline cult with them.

If not much is Zero, then I'm fine with it. There is no need to add them in basketball now, unless our basketball rights are 100% separate from football, which i don't think it is. Don't forget, if Gonzaga leaves their conference, another team takes their place in the tournament. If Uconn leaves, it's likely another team takes their place. It's not like the Big 12 (18) is going to get 16 teams into the tournament. It's going to really tighten the bubble for Big 12 teams if we have that many BBall schools.

The power of the Big Ten network. That’s what is on at the bars during the day in CBus. I would love a Big 12 Network as easily accessible as BTN.
