Now this is an IP I would not have expected to get a show or movie, but even more surprising it actually looks kinda good.

This series looks interesting. The game series is steeped in campiness, (outside of Twisted Metal Black) so I'm glad that it looks like they're leaning into that for the show. Will Arnett hits me right in my humor button, so having him doing the voice of SweetTooth guarantees that I will check it out.

I forgot about black. I was doing some googling and couldn't find the PS2 one. Yes we played the hell out of that too.

It's many people's favorite entry in the series, but the tone was a lot darker than the previous ones. It was definitely a good game, but I'm not sure its tone would have translated well into a TV series.

Watched the first two episodes tonight. It's good. Not going to win any awards, but it's definitely entertaining. The music is fantastic. Will Arnett as the voice of Sweet Tooth is as good as you'd think it would be, I'll be watching the rest of the season for sure.

Speaking of the games, I'm kinda surprised TM haven't made a comeback since we've been in this meta of arena and squad-based shooters lately (Fortnite, Apex, CoD Warzone, etc.). TM kinda fits in that space and could easily be made more into that kind of game.

A Twisted Metal battle royale would be pretty intriguing.

There's have to be a way to keep gameplay sped up since time to kill in TM is much different/longer than a normal FPS, but I'd imagine it's gotta be a doable concept if they wanted to pursue it. Wouldn't have to be this massive thing, 40-60 players in a match would be plenty.

I watched the first one as you can watch it for free. It was good but not great. Good enough I'd like to keep watching, not really good enough to sign up for Paramount+.

I didn't know what kind of storyline they could come up with for as a series for this, but I think they did a great job. First episode made you want to know more about multiple storylines.

Just got Peacock Premium free through Xfinity so I decided to watch it and Premium has ads. I turned it off. I'm not watching ads and I'm not paying for Peacock. For what I watched, it seemed ok. A little cheesy, but didn't seem to take itself too seriously.

Holy ****. I totally forgot about that game.
Yeah, it has definitely been a while. My lasting memory of it is from a friend of mine always playing it on an old PS1 where the lid had broken off. He had it rigged to keep working, but you could watch the disc spinning while you played. He had this game and the original Silent Hill. He had this ****** little apartment that smelled like garbage and the weed that he smoked all day/every day. He seemed to have a different job every time I talked to him, but I'm not sure that I ever actually saw him go to work.
