M.I. Dead reckoning pretty good flick, think I liked Maverick Top Gun better, but I will see part 2.

Looks like 00 started that thread. He was one of the OG around the early RTTs. Helped me get in at my employer, looked him up recently and he either left the company or was part of one of our divestures.

Someone just liked a post of mine from 9 years 364 days ago. Talk about a lurker.
I hadn't noticed that thread was 10 years old, thought "wow, lots of people passionate about that topic, to blow up that fast" (I'm mostly a lurker, but no, I didn't like/post in it).

Takes a certain amount of passion, or something, to resurrect a thread that old.

So many times when an old thread is resurrected people (myself included) will start reading and reacting as if it is new. Eventually you realize it's an ancient thread.
Personally I feel a little dumb when I realize I just liked a post from 10 years ago.

I too was reading it for several pages, until the topic had been largely exhausted and was degenerating into dumb/dumber exchange, never did notice the original year and quit before the resurrection. Was thinking about people I know who were on both sides of that issue, whose relationships failed or survived, separate/joint accounts didn't seem to be the deciding factor although finances might have been one, but not only factor.

Not looking at the year, just the date, and having not checked my electronic brain for today's date, thought the thread's July 20 date was today.

A mind isn't the first thing to go with age, my mind went long before age caught up.

Why resurrect a thread that old when it would make more sense to start a new one?
Maybe because people might judge you for having a semi-original thought?

What's crazier to me is the Hawkeye recruiting thread, that's about 10,000 pages long.

Man, there have been a lot of softball lobs in the joint/separate accounts resurrection.

But humor or sarcasm often don't work well with strangers, especially when involving sex or money, or sex for money, so better to just let it go.
