That happened to me 2 days ago 30 gallons on the work truck it actually makes a difference. Went to finish filling it and it gave me 15 cents on the balance ( like 4 gallons). My car isn't hardly worth it it's like 10 gallons clear dry so the nickel ones I defer till I fill my truck
None of our cars will take all 20 gallons you can get on the HyVee rewards. So we generally fill at Costco, but when we have a bunch of the HyVee credits saved up I take my daughter with me and we fill her car and put the rest of the 20 gallons in my car so we get all 20 gallons of credit pretty much every time.

We use Kum&Go more than HyVee for gas, but the same principle applies. We often take our lawn mower gas can when filling up the Toyota. DH's 1992 GMC Sierra, on the other hand, has a much larger tank than 20 gallons.

Squirrels are destroying my mom's beans and tomato plants and all her potted flowers. If they didn't live in town, I'd take care of them. The 4th is coming up though...

Heh. Being "in town" didn't stop my grandmother's husband from taking care of the raccoons that dare touch his prized garden. They would die of "an unfortunate case of lead poisoning".

Rained a tiny bit this afternoon. Mini storm came through and hit my burb some. Still likely less than a 1/10" but enough to kill my prognostication that it will never rain again.

This moron came up in conversation the other day. Dude is a total crapper, works for people, steals tools and other things from them. If someone was in the hospital, he would go take a few of their things (they found a trailer with a lot of stuff in it). Well, I just remembered that his mom didn’t know she was pregnant and thought she was having a hard bowel movement and he was born in the crapper. I think we should have all taken notice then.

Gotta go to a funeral for a dad of a close friend. Couldn’t make the visitation, now it starts raining.

At least I don’t have to go with my wife. She has to take her mom to see her moms sister in law. The SILs only surviving son is home with his wife. They are retired, (their mom is 90) and they do nothing but sit and complain. Her house could stand to have a few minor fixes but they just point it out and say she should have it taken care of. They are also very political and you have to dance around their conversations because if you aren’t in 100% agreement with them they will come unglued right there and it becomes extremely awkward and weird. So you try to ask varied questions to avoid a political discussion if possible, then lie and just agree even if you don’t.

Friend of yours?

Thunderboomer came through here a bit ago. The noise didn't wake me up. What woke me up was three cats trying to fight their way under the covers. Some of our cats do NOT like thunder...
