I saw the story when I was going to look up the live stats for tennis.

As much as I like our athletes to succeed on the field/court/whatever, I'm so much happier when they have success in the classroom.

If I remember right, didn't he really make a difference in the postseason? Loved his effort and I am proud of him for completing the degree.
Yeah I didn't remember that story at all, said his teammate was the target of a hate crime and he was stabbed trying to help him it seems like.
Yeah I remember him being awesome in the big 12 championship game against West Virginia. Several key putbacks.
I was at the grad college commencement the other night and heard his name and wondered if it was THE Darrel Bowie who helped smack down WVU. As others have said, it’s awesome to see these guys finish their degrees, and especially Bowie with his story. A lot of adversity with basketball injuries and the stabbing and spending his pro career overseas. Also saw Jaz get his Masters yesterday

I think this was his best game that season but he had some other great moments too.
That 2016-2017 team had such little depth he was super important as a decent big man.

For as much crap as people want to talk about the grad transfer process, we’ve had a lot of guys actually complete it.

We had like 4 guys on that team that literally every time they shot it, I thought it was going in.
I was in a bar in Orlando for this Big 12 Championship game. Had them put our game on every TV. Everyone there was cheering for Iowa State and going crazy for those great plays,. Thanks for the memories.
