That's probably fair. Just in review of this season it was weird to have that whole episode in the middle of the season
Star Wars (famously) periodically churns out odd to really bad content sometimes. I think this is one of those weird, misguided turns.

You must be new to the forum coming at me that hard calling me a Kathleen Kennedy hater who blames everything on her. Please try to keep stuff constructive. In fact, I love talking through constructive disagreements with me. We've come this far in this forum avoiding toxic posts like this and don't need them now. There is plenty of other forums on the internet filled with posts like yours to go to.
And I've seen plenty of them. "This reeks of Kathleen Kennedy..." is the kind of thing you'll see in most of them, and I'm beyond tired of it. If you're not interested in watching more of Rey or Finn's stories, then don't watch them. It's only divisive if certain fans choose to make it so. Is it a given that they'll do so? Sure. But that's still on *them*, not Disney or Kennedy.

Is Clone Wars an example of Star Wars refusing to let go of the prequels at a time when the fanbase largely wanted nothing to do with them? Or did the series do a lot of good to rehabilitate the prequels? Fleshing out the story of a divisive/panned trilogy in subsequent projects is nothing new to Star Wars, and it predates Kennedy's and Disney's involvement.

Happy May the 4th everyone!!! For those interested, 7 episodes of S1 for the new kids series Young Jedi Adventures dropped on Disney+, which is in addition to the shorts that dropped last week. Also, Season 2 (9 episodes) of Star Wars Visions dropped as well. I'm hoping to check out at least some of them later today.

Has anyone started playing Jedi Suvivor yet? It's the sequel to the Jedi Fallen Order game that came out a few years ago. Really good story-driven single player Star Wars game. Anyways, without being a spoiler, the new game seems like it'll delve into some High Republic backstory.

Played a bit, been on a desert planet for awhile. Story isn't doing much for me right now, a lot of mysterious people and motivations and not a whole lot of meat to it yet. Hoping it picks up soon. Still just a really fun game to run around fighting with a lightsaber though.

I've watched the first 4 of Visions Volume 2. First one was really good. Next two were solid to good, but I need to re-watch them as I was dozing off because it was late when I saw them. 4th was fun as it was Aardman Animation (Wallace & Gromit) and my boy Wedge Antilles was in it.

I'm through only 4 of them as well. I found the first 2 to be excellent, the 3rd to be decent, and the 4th to just be okay

In my opinion the first season of Visions was quite a bit better than this second one. I struggled to get into any of the episodes of season 2.

I found out these games were canon a couple weeks ago and watched all the cutscenes on YouTube. The first one's story was fantastic. Survivor is ok, but not as good. Game play and graphics could be better, but I obviously didn't play it.

The new Willow series is being pulled from Disney plus today. Apparently it's part of a bunch of shows they are pulling that allows them to have a big tax write off in a cost saving measure. Boy did that series fail hard. I can understand not renewing it, but only being available for 6 months and then gone? That's harsh!

This is kind of going against what Disney said Disney+ would be about. I was under the impression that once shows and movies ran their course on traditional media streams (theatres and linear television), that they'd be available for viewing anytime.

I guess if there is a tax right off, I can see why they'd do it. But hopefully they put these things back on later. I guess what I am getting at is they don't use the whole "where opening up the Disney vault for a limited time only," campaign type of thing.

Apparently the first article I read was wrong. There is no tax write off and the reason they are pulling these shows is so they don't have to pay residuals to the actors and crew. Understandably the folks associated with Willow are pissed.

I don’t getting pulling content. Willow wasn’t great but it’s already in the can, leave it.

One thing I'm finding surprising is residual are flat and not tied to how many views there are. Explains how they are attracting big name stars to streaming series, but means bean counters are incentivized to bury or remove underperforming shows.

I love Willow. Honestly one of the movies that shaped me as a kid. But man that series sucked, I didn't even finish it.

Just finished Mandalorian and I really liked it. I thought the last episode was pretty strong. Was it great, no, but good. I love Grogu.

I like what they are doing here. Exploring characters adjacent to the main Star Wars characters but set in the same world post empire. It gives the world some richness that has been lacking.
