Having lived in Oregon for 12 years, I have a soft spot in my heart for OSU. They are a perfect cultural fit for the Big 12. Football is trending up. Basketball is trending down but made the Elite 8 two years ago. They get terrible TV ratings though.
Washington State is also a great cultural fit for the conference and is a good TV draw.
Let's be honest. Whoopie Goldberg probably has a better shot at becoming the next Pope than OSU and WSU joining the Big 12, but it is a fun fantasy to think about OSU and WSU in the Big 12 while Oregon and Washington get stuck in a conference with SMU, Fresno State, and Boise State.

I think we all feel for Wazzu and Oregon St but IMO we're at a point where you invite Zona and Colorado, get them on board, then start throwing some bombs at the ACC and try and poach there or at the minimum cause massive dysfunction.
If those 6 schools are valuable enough that the networks would pay them a full share in the B12, then the Pac would already have a TV deal. Doesn't pass the smell test at all.
This dude has never been right on any expansion chatter. I dare someone to find me 1 correct prediction he has made in that regard.

Oregon state and Wazzu are going to end up really desperate if the big 12 scoops up the Arizona schools and Colorado and Utah.
