I could agree with a lot of what she says. But to include a quote from Bob Thompson from Oct 30th seems like a reach for a 3rd party source putting the Pac12 value around $30M.

Not sure he has the same take today. A lot has changed since the Big12 got its agreement.

Not exactly sure.
If BY wants to be in all four lower 48 timezones, the four corners won't do that alone. We will need to add a California, Oregon, Washington or Nevada (no viable options) school. Arizona is in Mountain time for the half of the year that matters most to the major college sports.
Yormark is going to get Congress to stop daylight savings time and have AZ land in pacific time zone so we can over all four with just them. The dude is gooooooodddddd..

San Diego sucks?

No. Just no.
I'm not going to say that I would want San Diego State in the Big 12, but San Diego definitely does not suck
We must have visited different places. San Diego and La Jolla are pretty awesome IMO.
San Diego is a great place to visit. It is not a great place to live.

I lived there for 2.5 years and found it lacking. Nice beaches. Good breweries. Some good restaurants, but not many for a city of it's size. Missing a certain je ne se quoi. The people appear nice and friendly, but mostly suck on further inspection.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great place to go visit for a week. It's just not a great place to live. I was there for 2.5 years and found it incredibly lacking. Nice beaches and weather.

Which city do you think is a nice city to live?

It's not a money, exposure or success problem. It's a people in their general area not caring about organized sports problem. San Diego is also kind of a transitory city with a ton of military people that cycle through and others that move there for the weather but find out the city itself kind of sucks.

Florida and Texas are football hotbeds.
You were doing so well and then had to make a sweeping, uneducated, generality and discredit everything you said you to that point. I’ve lived in San Diego for twenty years and you are the first person I’ve ever heard describe the city in that manner.

I heard most people live there because they enjoy going to Tijuana for the donkey shows.

I really loved living in Chicago and a lot of aspects of Seattle.

That's fine, a lot of people really like it, just giving my input on it. I'll be the first to admit, I'm preferential to a larger city, bot in amenities, activities and general mindset. That's not San Diego. It's not for me, and I think it gets over-rated by people who visit because the weather's nice.

To each his own. My SiL lived there for over a decade and loved it. Every time we visited had a blast, lots of very cool different neighborhoods.

Represent *******! WestSiiiiiidddeeeee!!! Some people call it the San Diego of the DSM metro so pretty much the same thing.
I thought Polk City was...I mean you have to look at those amazing beaches In Polk C. With that Marina its almost Identical to the Naval Yards. Just missing an Island to match up with Coronado. But then again it has a sweet bridge so maybe that helps.

Clive has more of a Pasadena vibe.......:jlh:

I caught that too. I'm not familiar with everything Walton has said publicly, but UCLA is secure so why would he care what the remnants of the Pac end up doing?

I realize you say this in jest, but if his appeal is as broad as it seems to be, I would hope the BTN is trying to bring him on board. (Personally, I think he's pretty annoying but people seem to like him.)

I like BW. ****** college game announcer though. His schtick works much better in the NBA imo.

IDK, he can be amusing at times, but I feel like he really only fits with the general vibe of 'pac 12 after dark'.
