I'm very relaxed, trust me. I've said there's a chance, that's it, which you "dumbed." You are saying there's not a chance.
We have differing opinions but I'm not doing absolute statements.
I dumbed your post that said Lunardi has Iowa in Des Moines. I didn't dumb your post saying there was a chance.

The committee is bound by bracketing principles. The top seed is only guaranteed protection in the first round and then they're charged with reducing travel where at all possible. They literally don't look at future matchups per the principles, that's not their job.

There's a ton of basketball left but if Iowa stays on a corresponding seed line to a Top 4 that ends up in Des Moines, I'd be more surprised if they didn't end up getting to stay home.
Reducing travel doesn't mean you are guaranteed to travel to the closest destination. They also most definitely look at future matchups when seeding.

I think KU and TX both win their next 2 and the conference comes down to KU at TX. I also think with KSU beating Baylor last night and KSU's schedule they'll get 3rd and we'll play Baylor back to back as the 4 and 5. I think OSU is fading and we have the tie breaker and a 1 game lead on TCU so could even afford to go 1-2 down the stretch and get the 5.

I can't see Texas winning both of the next two games at Baylor and at TCU. I think they drop at least one.

Can't believe this KU team is going to win the league. They have never really impressed me and we should of swept them this year.
Dunno...they're hit and miss for me. While they aren't as good as last year...the overall field is not as strong either. I could see them losing to a tough 8/9 team in round of 32 or winning it all.

The tournament is going to be nuts this year. There are a few teams that could win it but also could be vulnerable to an upset and then lots of other pretty good teams. I do like how battle tested KU is vs a Houston or UCLA or something but they have their weaknesses

Don't disagree but that could be said about most of the 1 seeds in any given year. Creighton gave KU all they wanted last year in the 2nd Round. 1 seed Baylor lost in OT to 8 seed UNC. Who knows, if Baylor survives that, they may have repeated. The difference between losing in the 2nd Round and winning it all is often razor thin. That's the beauty and the agony of the Tournament.

Boise playing in Oregon isn't the same as Iowa playing in its home state. I'd love for it to happen because it would really **** off KU fans but I just don't see it.

Iowa isn't guaranteed an 8-9 anyways, they still have alot of games left and have more like a 6 or 7 resume right now.

If Iowa was in the 8/9 game in the bracket with KU, I still don't think KU will have to worry about playing Iowa. In fact, it's probably best for them as there will be a flood of tickets available after the first round.

I have similar thoughts, though I think KU takes it and may not need that game at Texas

Providence and UConn in a good one.

Providence always seems to look like a team that would fit in well with the current B12.

To me, that's part of the allure of college basketball. Has a box-of-chocolates aspect to it.

(Not always fun when our team is on the wrong end of it, but ... that's the trade-off, I guess :))

Generally almost every team has high highs and low lows.

UConn looked good tonight. They were playing at their on campus arena. Amazing how many BE schools play at two places for home games.
