Today's game was just another reminder of how small the margin for error is for this team. Not enough consistent shot-makers.

There were several questionable calls that were at critical times against us. The Holmes charging call was awful. Don't get me wrong, we absolutely didn't help ourselves.
However after the home cooking WV received, I would think we would be the beneficiary of some calls at Hilton. Absolutely not. We average taking 3 charge calls a game and not 1 today. I can think of 3 that probably should have been.
Also, whatever happened to the flop T? Seems like that quickly went away.

We aren’t bigger than anyone we play for the most part.
You could see that coming with Grill and that can’t happen. With that said, I think it’s in some ways a byproduct of TJ not standing up for his players. Grill has been effected by some real bad calls the last two games and I don’t blame him for being frustrated when TJ doesn’t do much to change that.
Dominated in the 2nd half. They are going to have to change some things up if this slide is going to stop. Very disappointing.
If we are gassed then TJ and the 30 other coaches who watch film and the game should maybe find ways to get a few more guys in.
We could also use film to show our guys that we over play and make dumb fouls. even the fouls we get "all ball" are plays where we are tomahawking the ball.

LIsten, I am happy for this team and the fact we are talking about the tournament, but in all reality, the way we are losing is terrible. Its just dumb is why people are mad.
if we don't be TCU at home we are going to fall out of the rankings because we are going to get smoked by Texas and KSU on the road IMO. I think our only chances for wins are TCU, OU and WVU at home.
I could see us 5-6 place in the B12 and losing first game. Which will put us in the 7-11 see range.
do better guys...maybe stat with subtracting 5 dumbass fouls per game and making freethrows.

Everyone calm down. Remember last year? It wasn't that long ago. OSU is hot right now. We have to regroup and we'll be back on track.
I look at the future schedule too much for my own good. So if we win two more....we're in the Dance, yes?

Take a look at some of the future NBA players on that team and then take a look at this team, and then how the Big 12 actually had bad teams that year, then read this sentence again.
The difference between second and 8th place in this conference is incredibly small. We've been near the top since conference play, but you can have a bad week and be near the bottom. It is what it is.

It is our lack of ability to create offense in any way whatsoever, our inability to hit FTs, and our bad habits of not being able to play defense without fouling. The offense thing to me is a talent issue. We don't have any go-to scorers. Grill will get hot every 5 or 6 games. Gabe will score in double figures about 1/2 the time, but we just don't have the talent on the off side of the ball. The team has had some great wins this year, and I like our team. We hustle and play hard, and I am proud of them. But we just don't have the talent to score the ball in tight games, and that equals a middle of the pack finish in the B12 unless TJ can pull something out of a magic hat.

So last year we finish under that number and got in and this year the league is much better and our metrics are better but have to beat last years mark to get in? Cool story.
Now that the mirage of a championship run is in our past.. I can't wait to experience our Fran fade to the 7-9 seed line
Lol, we're losing to middling and bottom feeders teams missing some of their key players. You knew a loss in Ames would come at some point the way they've been playing.
This is team is completely lost right now.
If you think it's garbage that's on you. It is literally the only thing the dragged us into the tournament last year and will this year.
So what adjustments do you make to these? ISU gets out of control with the D/fouls, but they can't just lay off either or they'll get chewed up. How do you adjust free throw shooting on a team that's not good at shooting?
