NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

So it’s gonna be Chargers at Chiefs.

I have wanted nothing to do with the Chargers now that they’re healthy. I hate saying it but think Chiefs lose that one.
Unlikely but maybe the Ravens pull the upset tomorrow and the Chiefs get them.

I agree it's so hard to beat a team 3 times in 1 season. Seems like every Chiefs Chargers game comes down to final possession too. I guess on other end I don't want to play the other two likely AFC teams

Agreed. If I had a choice it’s Chargers but oof.

Anyone have an AFC title game presale code they’re willing to share?

Will we ever see Hardman in a Chiefs uniform again? I am starting to think not. Sucks, because I would have liked to see him and Toney on the field at the same time.

Both of those guys in the red zone would be so dynamic, like when Hill and Hardman were playing together. Hardman shouldn't get paid more than a WR3 anywhere but after last years WR market who knows. Speed is hard to find.

He will be overpaid in off-season but few if any will be able to use him as well as Andy. He actually has quite a few limitations as a player. Chiefs were in panick mode when Hill was having his legal problems and took the fastest guy in pads they could find. Having said that he filled a void for the gadget plays Andy runs. I wish he were healthy for the stretch run.

It's going to be interesting to see what the Chiefs do in the offseason at WR. Moore, Toney, MVS, and Justyn Ross who has been hurt all season are the only ones under contract for 2023. I doubt they will pay what Hardman thinks he should get but it will be interesting if they can work out something to bring back JuJu and Justin Watson.

I would love to bring back McKinnon again but guessing after the season he had he'll get a better offer and a bigger role somewhere else. One place they could save money is to let Brown walk and find a replacement at LT through the draft or trade. Other notable free agents on the team are Dunlap, Nnadi, and Thornhill. They have so much $ tied up in Mahomes, Jones, Kelce, Thuney, and yes even Frank Clark still on the books for a big amount that there will be some tough decisions to make on which guys are worth paying to resign or let walk and still have some room to address other needs. I see KC kind of operating a lot like the Patriots did in Brady's prime years where they build through the draft and then trade guys they can't afford to retain before they hit free agency as that is about the only way to operate when you are paying 3 guys like Mahomes, Jones, and Kelce the kind of money guys who are at or near the top of the league at their position gets.

Hardman officially out for Saturday.. Bummer for him as this is hurting his contract for next year. Although, it might be KC's gain if they can give him 1 year prove-it deal to see if he can fully recover.

1. The tackle on Mahomes looked like there was intent (as a former Detroit fan while Suh was there)
2. Sky Moore = Jaylin Noel
