***2022-23 MBB General Thread***

It was smart for him to cash in while he could. I don’t think his stock will be any higher than right after the game against LSU.
If he thought his stock would never be higher after a game in his freshman year then wouldnt he go to the NBA Draft then? Staying in college says that either he thinks he sucks(seems to ne true) or that he thinks his stock will get higher somewhere else

Went and watched Grinnell play Monmouth last night. It was interesting and entertaining . . . but not good basketball. Grinnell didn't shoot as many three's as I was expecting and dribble/drive a lot more than I expected. They do platoon in five fresh guys about every 1:30 to 2:00. So while the players are out there, they are flying around and hustling their butts off. They are a swarm of flies when on defense and just hammer the double/triple team traps, which led to 8-10 run out layups when it doesn't work.

First half, Grinnell shot 8-22 from three and led 47-33. Hit first two threes of second half and were up 55-33. Then it all went south. They began committing turnovers, never made another three the rest of the game (0-20 to close), gave up the runouts and were outscored 52-19 to lose 85-74. The 74 points were their lowest output of the season so far. I was hoping for one of their 120-130 point games. Oh well, still fun with carload of guys to go watch. Now I can check that off my bucket list.

edit: maybe it was just that officials crew, but it was very physical and loosely called too. There were at least three times I counted 4 steps on a non-called travel. The one travel that was called was probably 5 steps or more. Also, there was a LOT of body banging. Too the point where both coaches were T'd up during the game and 1-2 players were too.

Maybe about 15 years ago when they were putting up 150 pt games ESPN decided to show a game. It was a pretty big flop. Maybe scored in the 80s and probably shot about 20%.

I think stock in terms of NIL. These second round type guys can make more money playing for pay in college.

TCU blew that game? I watched until about the 8 minute mark and they were in control the entire time.

Sigh. As much as i hate Texas it appears they will be a factor in the Big 12 race.

Yes, it's intriguing but probably not good hoops. i remember when they were on national TV a few years back and were really cold and got torched by Beloit, I believe. Really cool that you went, in my opinion.

This All-Access OSU vs Minnesota game on FS1 is really weird. No commercials, coaches mic’d up, and only sporadic commentary from the announcers. I can’t tell if I like it or not, but I don’t think I do.

I like that there’s no commercials, but it’s hard to pay attention to the game with the coaches yelling out stuff all the time.

Ok so OSU shouldn't be in the NCAA tourney conversation anymore at this point.

How anyone can put more then 7 tops from that league in is out of their mind.
